4. New beginnings

Alexa's POV
A week had flown by. Harry and my family had helped me plan for my move out to California. We found an apartment and ordered all my furniture and decorations.
Haidyn and Niall came over to say there goodbyes. Harry would be coming with me and living in the apartment with me. He was so kind to pay for it. It was 2 bedroom with a bathroom kitchen and living room area. Small but perfect for us while I was in school.
"I'm going to miss you so much!" Haidyn said as we cried into each other's arms.
"I'll miss you so much! We will talk everyday and I'll have to go out to New York over break and then you come to California, how about that?" I asked her as we broke our hug.
"Sounds wonderful!" We shared one last hug before I went over to Niall. He was in his wheel chair for one more week.
"How are you feeling?" I asked him.
"I'm alright." He said as I bent down to give him a hug.
"Come visit yes?" I asked him.
"Of course love." He said as he kissed my cheek.
Harry and Haidyn said their goodbyes then I turned to my family. My mom planned on driving us to the airport so I gave my dad and brother a hug. Then I turned to my sister. My baby sister, my best friend. She has grown into such a beautiful, smart, independent girl. She was only sixteen but held herself like she was 20. I was going to miss her so much. I quickly hugged her. We held each other tightly and cried.
"I'm going to miss you so much, I can barely last when you're out of the house for the night imagine how I'll be when you're gone." She laughed in between sobs.
"I know I can't believe it, you'll just have to come out and visit me for the summer. How about that?" I asked her ask I rubbed her arms.
My family all gave Harry hugs and we said one last goodbye before Harry, my mom, and I made our way outside to the car.
We packed all my bags in the trunk and got into the car.
Harry insisted I sit in the front seat with my mom for our last few minutes.
I basically cried the whole drive. I never knew it would be this hard. I was so excited to have a new start in a new city.. Now I was uneasy about it. I knew that I would get used to it quickly but the thought of leaving my family and being on my own scared me. The only thing keeping me from changing my mind was Harry. I knew it would be okay with him by my side. I knew that I would adjust and be fine with him. We were living together and rebuilding our relationship together.

We pulled up to the curb at the airport and got out. Harry opened my door for me and pulled me into a hug.
"It will be okay, I promise." He whispered then kissed my forehead. He moved out of the way and went to get my bags from the trunk as my mom walked around the car. We looked at each other. A tear fell down my cheek and she pulled me into a hug. She started crying too.
"I love you so much my sweet girl." She said as she rubbed my back. I hugged her even tighter.
"I love you mommy, thank you for everything. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for you." I said and cried into her neck.
"I'm so proud of you. You will do amazing things, don't forget about me." She laughed and pulled away from our long hug.
"We will talk everyday and visit me soon! I'll come home for Christmas!" I said and she nodded and pulled me in for another hug.
"You have him, you will be fine." She said referencing to Harry.
"I know mom." I said and then wiped the tears from under my eyes.
I had packed only clothes and small necessary items I needed because I had gotten all new furniture for our house.
Harry waiting on the side walk with my four bags and his duffle. I quickly picked my purse up and made my way over to him. He hugged my mom.
"Keep her safe you hear me?" My mom playfully scolded him.
"I promise." He said as he smiled at me then they hugged again.

My mom gave me one last hug before getting in her car and driving away. I was still crying and Harry pulled me in for a hug.
"Shhh it's okay it's okay." He said as he rubbed circles on my back.
I sniffled and forced myself to stop crying. I knew this day was coming, I was an adult, going out into the world. I grabbed two bags and he grabbed the other two and his duffle.
We checked the bags in and got our boarding passes and made our way to security. After that we found a Starbucks and got a coffee before making our way to our gate. It was 11:30 and our flight left at 12:10. Harry quickly left to get us some food.
