You clutched onto your black coat, hiding your face from the harsh, cold air. It was freezing. It was so cold, your scolding hot latte had begun to morph into some, lukewarm sticky beverage that was far past your favor now.

You had thrown it out and walked over to your car, fumbling with your car keys.

"Come on, come on.." you whispered, fog flying out of your mouth as you winced at the penetrating air that gnawed at your bare hands.

You got your car door open and you sat down inside, slamming the door shut behind you.

You rubbed your hands together, trying to make the chilled blood warm up.

This was the worst time of the year.

Even though people would cheer and run around in excitement with their sleds and would make snowmen in their front yards, it still wasn't as exciting for you.

You had been single for four months now, and you were sick of watching people enjoy their winters snuggled up in a warm blanket, next to the fireplace as they sipped on hot chocolate and watched Disney movies. It made you sick to your stomach.

Maybe you were a bit envious of everyone else's relationships, but you brushed it off and moved foward. You didn't need Nash. He probably didn't need you either. He was probably at clubs all over again, kissing every girl in sight.

You sighed at the thought of him...

As you shook the thought of your head, you stuck your key in ignition, ready to start the car and go to your lonely home.

You turned the key foward, expecting the car to start immediately, but you only got a "rum-gigblerumsh" noise.

"No..." you sighed in panic, brushing back your hair. You weren't going to stay stuck in your car, parked in front of a coffee shop in this cold weather! You'd be an icicle by the next hour!

You turned your key again, hoping and praying for it to start. But... nothing changed.

It's okay. Stay calm... the third try is always the winner... You thought to yourself, trying to calm the tension in your body.

You squeezed your eyes shut, hoping for this to be the lucky number.

You turned the key again, a bit more forcefully this time, causing the car to vibrate in it's effort to start the engine. Sadly, number three wasn't much of a big help either.

"Damnit!" you slammed your hand against the wheel in frustration.

You sat back in your seat, layed your hands over your forehead, and coughed a couple of times. You were going to get ill if you stayed out here any longer.

Was it a boost you needed? If it was, then who would you get it from? You didn't know anyone, and you weren't taking your chances in going up to a stranger and asking for one because you thought they'd snatch you and make you their Christmas present.

So you sat back and waited, giving your car some time to chill and relax before you started it up again.

You looked out your window as you waited, gazing at the pale grey sky. You watched as little snowflakes layed delicately on your window, covering up every last space. You wouldn't be able to see out of it after awhile...

That was until you got a knock on your window.

It was a tall male, wearing an all black winter outfit. He had a black hoodie on, grey jeans, and some black boots. His hands were nice and warm in a pair of black gloves.

You rolled down your window, in reply to his knock, and you couldn't deny, you were a bit scared. The way he was dressed seemed as if he was a robber or a kidnapper, so you only prayed that wasn't the case.

"Excuse me ma'am, do you need any... help?..." as he lowered down, he realized who you were. His voice faded in shock. His eyes lit up in amazement. His lips... formed into a surprised smile... "Y/N?!"

You nodded and rolled your eyes, rolling up your windows again.

"Hey, h-hey! Wait!" he stammered, trying to get a word in.

You rolled it back down in annoyance and cocked your head to the side to look at him.

"I'm really sorry about what happened, Y/N. I'm serious," he swore.

"Nash, you can't just say 'I'm sorry' and expect me to automatically forgive you. I need you to show me that you're sorry about everything," you sighed, rubbing at your eye. "That was four months ago anyway... it's too late for an apology,"

He crossed his arms.

"Well... just let me help you, okay?" he bellowed, clearly disappointed in your rejection of his apology.

He ran back to his car, which was conveniently behind yours, and he drove it right in front, to where they were both facing each other.

After he parked, he ran to his trunk and grabbed a booster and ran back to both of your cars. He lifted up both of your trunks as you sat in the inside, watching him.

Then after he connected the wire to both of your cars, he jumped in his and started his engine. He told you to start yours throw his windsheild.

You did so, making my car finally start up again. You smiled triumphantly.

He turned off his engine and disconnected the wire and put it back into the trunk of his car. Then, he walked over to your window again.

"What?" you groaned rolling down the window.

"You still look freezing. And hey, the least you could've said was 'thank you'." he giggled.

"Oh, right..." you paused, "thank you."

He nodded, accepting your thanks.

Then, he opened your car door.

"What are you doing?" you fretted.

He grabbed your hand and pulled you out of your car, smiling at you.

He pulled you close and wrapped his arms around your waist, admiring you.

He leant down and his lips met yours. You felt a tingling sensation throughout your body. You even blushed at the feel of his soft lips. It felt like it had been forever since you kissed Nash. I mean... it had, hadn't it?

His arms were tight around your waist as he kissed you, for what had seemed five minutes.

When you parted he hugged you and muffled into your hair, "I can make it all up to you,"

You nodded, and buried your face into his shoulder.

"Promise?" you whispered.

He parted from you and smiled. Looking into your eyes, he made you shiver.

"I promise,"
