Twilight (Quil and Claire)

Chapter 19

~Claire's POV~

I was awoken by heavy painting outside of my bedroom.

I turned on the lamp and hurried over to my door. My mom stood in the doorway.

"Claire.....the baby's coming"......

I felt fear come over me. And excitement. And nerves. I was feeling 100 different emotions right now.

I hurried to wake up Sam and Emily.

We hurried and slipped on some clothes.

I wore light colored skinny jeans and A lose gray t-shirt.

I grabbed my car keys and ran into the living room.

I glanced at the clock. 5:34am.

Sam and Emily emerged from their bedroom.

I helped Sierra out to my car and got her comfy. Emily and Sam took his truck just in case someone needed to leave the hospital.

I drove down the road with Sam and Emily behind me.

I looked over at my mom.

"Are you excited?" I asked her.

She breathed a laugh.

"Yeah but I think I'm more nervous", she confessed.

"Don't worry. I'll be with you through everything", I promised.

We arrived at the hospital in less than 10 minutes.

I parked my car in the front and helped my mom out of the car.

Emily and Sam walked up behind us.

"I called most of the pack on the way", Emily said.

We nodded.

We walked inside and went to the front desk.

"Hey. This is Sierra and she's going in labour", Emily told the lady.

"Okay. Have a seat right there and we will get a wheelchair for her. Mi while can you fill this sheet out?" The lady asked while handing her some papers.

We sat down. Sierra breathed deeply.

Emily sat next to me filling out the papers for Sierra.

I squeezed my moms hand.

We waited for about 5 minutes until this young male nurse rolled out a chair.

"Sierra?" he asked us.

"That's me," my mom replied.

He helped her sit in the chair.

"Okay, she can have six people in her room at a time until it's time for the delivery, which at that time only 2 people can be in the room", he explained.

We nodded.

At that moment Kim and Jared came in though the front door.

All of us proceed up to the room.

Sierra was laid into a bed and she fell asleep.

I watched TV since we would be here for a while.

After about an hour everyone was here. Most of them were in the lobby.

Emily, Kim, Rachael, Joy, Quil, Seth and I were in the room with Sierra.

The nurse had come to check on her twice now.

She told us she was moving along slowly. Ugh.

I left only once to eat at 11:16am.

They had chickfila there and I wasn't about to pass that up.
