How did you fall?
Now you remember. Few years ago...
At college, there was a shooter. You gave up your life to save another by shielding them with your body. You died immediately.
"Heaven?" You ask the front desk man. You woke up on clouds ?!
"Yes, Heaven! I understand that this may be a shock, but you don't have to be afraid. There's no more fear here." St. Peter explained gently," So, may I have your name please?"
"Uh... Y/N L/N." You drudged, still processing. You spell your name out, out of habit you guess.
St. Peter searched for your name in his book, soon finding it with a smile.
"Hooray! Your name is here. Enjoy Heaven...." he cheered.
You smile softly before the gates opened, revealing the glorious city of the Heavens.
You gasp walking in, awestruck.
This was Heaven?! You could get used to this...!
Heaven was amazing. So much life, great people, wonderful food. So good. But there was that slight inconvenience.
Adam.
You were too nice to down right argue. You respectfully decline his offers of date and.. other activities.
You weren't the type for.. those activities at the moment.
As the years went by, you noticed that every year, on one day, the exorcists went missing.
That was odd.
Where did they go?
Another year. The same thing. One day. Missing. Come back after a while.
Then another year. Missing, come back.
This was odd. Your curiosity got the better of you. So one day you followed. Into the "locker room", then to outside Heaven area.
You watched as they put on their stuff and opened a portal to somewhere all red. Then they flew in it.
Your brows furrow once the portal closes. Where were they going?
What was all the red?
From earlier estimations, you set at an alarm to when the other times they have come back.
Now... waiting.
As the time neared, you made your way to the "locker room" the exorcists had. You conversed with other exorcists and Heaven born. So you were knowledgeable about it.
You make it in, hiding in the entrance's curl to get in.
Nothing..
Till.
Fwoosh!
"Haha! I'm still so jazzed up!"
"Those filthy sinners!"
"Killing them is so fun!"
Kill. Sinners. Wait. Sinners. Hell?
They were going to Hell? And killing sinners!!!??
"Remember to wash your uniforms, correctly, remember Sera's rule. No one but the exorcists can know about the extermination." Adam yelled.
Your heart dropped. Sera.
Sera ordered this. Extermination. Literal genocide!?
You stumble back out the the entrance, dizzy with shock as exorcists cleaned themselves. You couldn't believe it.
Heaven was killing people?!
You heard footsteps coming to the entrance and you darted away behind a big shelf.
Exorcists, now changed, walked out. Content. In groups, conversing.
You watched as they leave before making your way inside the locker room. Inside, showers, benches in separate rooms. Privacy.
You walk before seeing a wall of bloodied weapons.
Weapons they used.
You choke.
How could they? They were already judged. Why?
"I gotta... I gotta do something."
"Yeah, that's not happening."
You freeze, jolting. You look to turn.
Adam and his lieutenant.
"You..."
You trailed off.
"Sh*t. No one was supposed to.. know this."
Lute grabbed your arm.
"Looks like.. we have to solve this."
Adam sighed.
You remembered now. You lost your paradise because of him. It wasn't even his to take. You got to heaven, there's no way he could be allowed to strip you of your right.
You stared at Adam. In the shadows, your shadows eyes stared back at him like double. Then a thirds eyes. What was this? Were you hurt? Or was it a prank on him. It was harder to kill a double that regenerated.
"You took my everything..." You stated. Venom in your words "You took my right."
Adam looked at you, frowning.
"Sorry, I have a job to do though, babe." He said.
"I will... make you regret... leaving me." You gritted your teeth.
