3. One-shot

I don't own PJO but the story line I do.

This is set after TLO but before TLH. Right when Percy started dating Annabeth and before he disappeared.

Hanging With The Stolls

Percy's POV:

"This is so embarrassing." I grumbled. This was probably the worst game of Capture the Flag I had ever played. And that is saying a lot because there were plenty of times that were really bad for me. None though, were as bad as hanging from a tree in a net.

"Embarrassing for you? Look at us!" I looked over to my right, where the Stoll brothers were caught in this net with me. We were all smushed together in a really uncomfortable position, and I have seen parts of the brothers that I never ever wanted to know about.

'This is what we get for making Annabeth mad at us.' 

That was probably the worst idea we ever devised of, pranking the most smartest girl at camp who was also my new girlfriend. No wonder the Athena cabin teamed up against us, Annabeth really wanted to get back at us for taking all the books in the Athena cabin and dropping them at the bottom of the lake.

Travis started to yell at his brother, "This is totally your fault, Connor! I told you we should've put the whole blame on Percy!"

"That's not even fair! You guys were the one who came up with the prank!" I yelled back. The two brothers just started bickering.

'Now how exactly did we get up here?' I wondered.

We were running in the woods, to distract the other team. Connor stepped on something that caught the three of us in a stupid tree rope trap. I didn't even stepped on it! And now we're stuck in a net like some type of game. It would be a miracle by the gods if we get out of here with no mishaps.

'Please have my ADHD not act up.' I silently prayed to the god of ADHD that doesn't even exist. I wanted to get out of this net, especially now with Travis and Connor fighting.

I heard a twig snap, oh crap. 

"Wow, Seaweed Brain. You can really get yourself into messes." Said a voice that I knew too well.

"Haha, that is very funny Wise Girl. Wasn't there a Greek myth about someone getting tied up in a tree?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "That was when Hephaestus caught Aphrodite and Ares together. This is nothing related to that unless you're cheating on me with the Stoll brothers? Like, whats going with that position your in?" She said with a smirk.

My face redden and I tried to get the furthest away as I can from them in this small net, while Annabeth was laughing away. Her laugh actually gave me a nice warm feeling inside.

"Dude! Now is not the time to be a love sick puppy!" Yelled Connor who was still struggling. 

'I said that out loud?'  I don't even know how, but my face got even more flushed. 

"Ok Annabeth, we're really sorry that we did some minor damage to your books." I started to say. 

Annabeth glared at me, this is not going to be good. "MINOR damage? My books are all wet!"

"They're just books..." The twins mumbled. Uh oh, that was not a good idea. Annabeth does love her books.

"I might just let you stay up here and continue that myth, where everyone sees you and laughs..."

"Uh, you know Wise Girl, that really won't be necessary, we learned our lesson." Being stuck in this small net with the Stolls was enough awkwardness for me. I did not need to have the whole camp down here. 

Annabeth gave that victory smirk that she always gets when she wins; I always get that look from her. She walked over to a stick that was embedded into the ground and untied it. The second she did, the three of us came crashing towards the ground on top of each other. Luckily I got on the top and quickly got away from Connor and Travis who were now tangled in the net and yelling at each other.

'Typical Stolls.'

I turned towards Annabeth who was glaring at me. "Hey, I'm actually really sorry for the books, I didn't really realize how much they meant to you. If it makes you happy, I can probably dry them off for you."

I really feel that I messed up, ugh I'm probably one of the worst boyfriends ever. 

Annabeth rolled her eyes at me and put her arms around me at the same time. "Why do you always do something stupid Seaweed Brain?" She muttered getting really close to me.

"Well, you know it is sorta my thing and-" I would've kept of rambling but Annabeth kissed me softly and I returned it. 

We probably would've kissed for a longer amount of time however, a click sound brought us back to reality. We looked at the net where the Stolls were trapped except, there was no one trapped there.

'Shoot.'

"They must've gotten out-" I said.

"And they probably were the ones who took a picture." Annabeth continued.

I face palmed myself. "The picture is going to be around camp by tonight."

Annabeth wasn't even fazed by this. "Oh, I know. Let's just enjoy this moment before we get swarmed by the Aphrodite cabin."

"Fine by me Wise Girl." I said and then leaned down for another kiss.
