Keepsake these breaths exchanged
In the little wind between us
savor these delectable tastes.

Weeping willow trees,
A hungry voyeur of rippling misery,
Knives at the bark and carving history
Your name and mine
curtained and escaped
A sweet mo', no further pushing
Is that all it took to flee our numbing days?

So much to live for and so much to feel
Irking and throbbing beneath your skin.
Love or lust?
Sweet spirit or gin?

Moment's end and ends another day,
To leave was my promise but
My dearest one, you made me challenge the grave
Pray if you had decided to stay,
I'd cry, "I accept my fate!"

Nevertheless, time passes by
leaving behind a ghost of things you said
Whileever we might cross paths again
Let's revisit what we engraved.

"Us, just us." you'll repeat, and I'll follow your lead.
A merry peaceful dance will commence,
Daybreak to dusk,
Midnight to afternoon
Gods quivering and the sky thundering.

It will be the end of me.
But this end will be well.

Keepsake these breaths exchanged,
In the little that is left in me
I'll savor these delectable tastes.
