I sit in the car as Steve drives Bucky and I to the senior living center. I'm nervous about meeting her. We pull up to the home and Steve turns around to me. "Are you ready?" I nod and takes his hand when I get out of the car. He leads me to the front desk. "Hi. We're here to see Peggy Carter."

"Names please."

"Steve and Annabelle Rogers. I'm an old friend of Peggy's."

The lady comes from behind the desk and leads us down a hallway. "Her illness is getting worse. We fear she may not have too much longer left."

We get to the door and Steve nods. "Thank you."

Slowly, we walk into the room, Steve first. "Hey, Peggy."

She turns towards us. "Steve, you're alive." Tears form in her eyes and Steve. "You're back!"

Steve rushes forward and sits in the chair next to the hospital bed. "Yeah, I did. Couldn't leave one of my best girls. Not when I still owe them a dance." I stand there awkwardly until Steve remembers. "I'd like you to meet someone." He gestures me forward and I stand on her other side. "This is my twin sister, Annabelle."

"You have a sister?"

"Yeah. I kept her hidden to protect her. She was blind back then."

"I remember you, though. The Colonel gave me a file with your first name and a picture. Told me to track you down."

She starts to cough and Steve goes to grab her a glass of water. I wait for her to calm down before running my fingers faintly over her hairline. My hand glows white and Steve looks at me confused. Some of the wrinkles fade and when she opens her eyes a new light is in her eyes. The glow fades and Steve sets the glass down. "What did you just do?" Steve asks.

"You'll see."

Peggy blinks a few times before looking at Steve and I. "It's great to see you again, Steve."

Steve looks between us. "What is going on?" he asks.

I make my fingers glow again. "I never told anyone but I figured out that I can heal some ailments. I thought I might as well try."

"Thank you, dear," Peggy says, taking my hand. "I never thought it was possible."

"It is a horrible way to go, not being able to remember recent memories. No one deserves that."

"You have no idea what this means to me," Peggy says. "How could I ever repay you?"

"Tell me about him? My brother; how he was in the war."

"Okay, maybe we shouldn't talk about this," Steve tries to redirect.

Peggy laughs and gives Steve a light pinch on the cheek. "He was always a gentleman. Even when a girl made out with him. He had no idea what to do."

I look at him, appalled. "A girl made out with you?! Why didn't you tell me?"

"It wasn't like that. She came onto me. Then Peggy came, got me out of there and tried to kill me."

"I did not try and kill you. You had your shield. You asked what I thought."

"I didn't expect you to shoot at me," Steve assures.

"I didn't expect the boy I had a crush on to have a make out session with the girl in archives." Steve blushes and babbles to come up with an excuse. "He didn't even know how to talk to me while we were in a car on our way to the experiment."

"Funny, he knows how to talk to my boyfriend perfectly fine."

"I just want to make sure you're safe."

"He was scared! You actually scared him."

Peggy scowls at Steve and he tries to hide. "You have always been very protective. Wanting to try and keep everyone out of harm's way. Never backing down from a fight. Bucky told me once that it was time to celebrate when he didn't come home with a bruise."

"How come I didn't know about this?" I ask. He looks away.

"I didn't want you to worry. You had enough on your plate and I didn't want you to have even more."

"Anything else I should know?" I ask.

Peggy looks between Steve and I. "There is one thing. This can either be a great thing or a horrible thing. He can't get drunk."

"That is going to be an absolute nightmare. Now how do I sneak around?! That makes it impossible."

"How so?"

"I can't get you black out drunk so I can't sneak away from you. Oh well. I can always tie you up or blackmail you with that photo."

"What photo?" they both ask.

"That photo you always make me carry." I pull it out and show it to Peggy then Steve.

"You have one too?" Peggy says. She reaches a frail hand to her bedside table and reaches into the drawer. She draws out a framed picture and hands it to me.

I laugh at him and he gets curious. "You looked so cute!" I squeal quietly.

I turn the picture around and he pales. "I didn't even realize you guys were taking pictures! When did you get this? And why do you still have it?"

"I needed the reminder. I've always had it, since you went into the ice," Peggy remembers.

"That reminds me. Bucky is still alive. We found him a while ago. He was taken by Hydra and his memory erased. Even lost an arm from the fall."

"Amazing. I never thought it possible." Peggy smiles and we spend some time getting to know each other. We don't even realize that visit hours are up until the nurse comes in and tells us. We say goodbye and walk out with smiles and new, happy, memories.
