James POV:
So I have to kiss Leah to get Riley to be my girlfriend? I'm not exactly top in school, but that definitely doesn't add up to a happy relationship with Riley."So, what are you waiting for?" Leah questions, with this creepy glare in her eye that makes me feel uncomfortable, "If you want to be with Riley, you need to kiss me James, and you cant back out, because I saw you smile when I kissed you, so I could definitely tell Riley that-"
Without hesitation I grab her neck and pull her towards me, smashing her lips to mine.
She wraps her arms around me, trying to make it last as long as she can, as I release her neck and move to grabbing her back. I can sense that she is actually trying to enjoy this, rather that do it to annoy me, or annoy Riley, she actually wants to be with me, and as much as I know I need to be with Riley, I don't pull away. But she does.
"I know you enjoyed it James. Listen, if you still don't want Riley to know, you'll meet me at the the coffee shop tonight at six. Okay? Good. See you soon James!" She blows me a kiss and struts off out of the door and down to culture shock.
What just happened?
Did I actually enjoy that or am I just doing it for Riley? This is turning into more than 'doing it for Riley'. This is turning into 'being with Leah'.
Riley POV:
I've been waiting for Leah in culture shock for ten minutes. Maybe she forgot.I walk up to the counter to order myself a juice, as I see her enter Culture Shock. She looks really happy and pleased with herself. But I decide not to question her; it's none of my business.
"Leah, hey, do you want anything?" I approach her, smiling.
"Oh yeah okay, I'll have a strawberry with a side of your boyfriend." She carries on smiling, but stupidly, it takes me too long to even notice what she said.
"Erm, what?" I too keep grinning, even though I'm confused and a bit weirded out, "What did you say sorry?"
"Oh, sorry, I didn't make it very clear did I," I knew there would be an explanation, Leah isn't a freak or anything, "Your boyfriend just made out with me in Studio A. Now can we order the juices? I'm really thi-"
Leah is a freak. Leah is most definitely a freak. Either she's lying to me or she kissed James. James would not have kissed her. I put all my money on it. I- I... trust him.
And then suddenly the deadly wasps are back. But it's like they all died and sunk to my stomach.
"You mean, James? We're not together-"
"Phew! Cuz' for a minute there that could have been mega awks!" She smiles, and starts to turn and walk, "see you soon, hun!"
I'm finding it hard to breathe, like I'm going to have another panic attack. Would James really do exactly the same to me again? Say he loves me, then humiliate me?
James POV:
I see Leah walk back in, alone. Where is Riley? I run up to Leah, wanting some sort of explanation."Hey, where's Riley?" And then I see the look on her face, and everything adds up. There's a smile, curling up from cheek to cheek and the same weird glimmer in her eye, "you didn't. No you did not tell Riley-"
"Oh shush will you, you'll let everyone hear." She puts her finger to my lips, and then replaces her finger with a small kiss, "you don't want to ruin your mood for later."
"Leah we had a deal! I can't believe you! You don't understand what I've put her through in the past! I LOVE HER!"
And then I see Riley.
Riley, standing there, she just walked through the doors, and her face is expressionless.
Beautiful, but expressionless.
"So, you kissed her James?" Riley looks at me, and she looks upset, mad and a little bit disappointed.
"Yeah. Yeah I did." I can't even be bothered with an explanation, so I just walk up to Riley, put my hands on her shoulders and kiss-
"No!" Riley pushes me back, "you think I'm going to trust you again? You think you could kiss me and I would fall in love with you? What about Stephanie? What about Leah? What about me, James? Do I come into this equation in your head, or am I just worthless to you?" I see a tear roll down her cheek as she exits the room, slowly, but madly.
I can't believe I messed up a third time.
Usually they say third time lucky.
But in my case, the third time took my heard out and ripped it a thousand times.
