"Don't think that this makes us friends. You're still considered a peasant to me." Paige said, walking into the living room.
"Queens don't visit their peasants."
"You gotta do, what you gotta do." She replied, planting herself on a couch.
"Get off the couch." He ordered, noticing her damp dress.
"Don't speak to me like that."
"Last time I checked you came to my front door begging me to come in."
"And just as easily I can leave." She said getting up and walking towards the front door.
"Don't let it hit you on your way out."
Toby heard the front door slam as Paige finally left. He knew she'd come back. Paige could never leave a battle unfinished. Despite his loathing for her, he found her a comical source of entertainment. The way he was able to get her mad so quickly made him feel as if he had some type of power of the "queen".
Paige stood outside the house waiting for some type of sign that Toby was coming after her. After pacing back and forth for a few moments, she decided that she wouldn't wait any more. Bursting through the front door, she went into the living room, finding Toby's eyes glued to the television.
"I'm a queen and as a queen I can do whatever I want. so if I want to be in your house to work on our project I can, so let's get to work."
"How'd you even know where my house was?" He said with his eyes still glued to the tv.
"The real question is why'd you even let me in?" She countered.
"I have no idea. I guess it was because I felt sorry for you." He said, turning off the tv and walking to face Paige.
Paige was taken aback by his response, not expecting it.
"You feel sorry me?! I am queen! I have everything you can only dream of! Why would you feel sorry for me."
"Because you are Paige Bryant and I know your rich and you think you're queen and everything, but judging from your damp dress I can tell that something bad must've happened at the dance. And instead of going home, showering and putting on some clean clothes, you've chosen to walk around looking like a drowned, harassed rat and come to my house."
Paige shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't feel like going home."
"What about Janelle? Or Sean? Even one of your little followers could've sufficed, Paige."
"They're all busy or at the dance."
"Or they've probably realized how shallow you really are."
With Toby's final statement, Paige snapped.
"If you believe I'm a liar that's fine, but It's not a crime to not want to go home, Toby! And I know I could've gone to anybody's house, but I only came to your's because your a nobody! Nobody talks to you or wants to even hang out with you, so if you were to see me like this and tell anybody, nobody would believe you! You're lame and a loser and I'm guessing your parents don't even love you!"
Toby's eyes gazed fiercely at Paige, as his hands balled up into fist.
"You know nothing about me or my parents!" He yelled as he punched the wall next to them.
Paige watched with wide eyes at the dent that had been created on the wall.
"You know nothing." He repeated staring intently into Paie's eyes.
"Looks like I hit a nerve, there. Where are your parents anyway, Toby." Paige continued, challenging him. Toby almost grew angry again, until an idea popped into his dad.
