Alicent Hightower raised a bastard - The Stranger's Child.
Except she didn't.
Naenyra looked nothing like the Targaryen beauty that her father expected. She was, as her mother always wished, a Hightower at heart, and how she looked only proved it...

It felt cold in the Keep as she slipped in from the window, wrapping her robe tighter around her as she gazed across the hallway. There were two white cloaks stationed at each end, and one of the maids going about her duties. Daeron had mentioned that Aegon was in the drawing room with friends, it was located on the other side of the private quarters but no one should question her on where she was going.
She took a step. "Princess." Nyra's body froze before her shoulders slumped. She recognised the voice in an instant - her rather annoying Knight.
Nyra twisted on one foot, dark eyes soon settling on him. "Ser Erryk." She greeted with a grin, crossing her arms in front of her.
"Arryk, if it pleases, Princess." Nyra's eyes tightened, a glare sure to be clear in her gaze. She was certain that he had been asked to be Erryk - could he not settle on the pronunciation?
Her head cocked. "I thought it was Erryk." She stated.
The Knight shook his head. "It's Arryk." He assured with a look of ease; his blue eyes soon darted to the window behind her. "Did you just come through that?" He asked, pointing to the space behind her.
She feigned innocence. "No." She dismissed quickly. "I was simply looking out of it."
Ser Arryk frowned. "You have dust on your robe, Princess, and a snag in the fabric." He motioned to her side, Nyra turning to look at where he was referring. He was right; in the dark fabric, it had a long snag, surrounded by pale dusting from the roof tiles.
"Dusty and sharp." Nyra deflected, waving at the area behind her.
"You know it is a risk to be on the roof, do you not?" Of course she did, she wasn't stupid; Nyra thought, desperately trying to stop her eyes from rolling. "Not only are there risks involved with loose tiles or misplaced steps but Assassins have a clear shot on you being sat there." Arryk explained. "I think it best if you refrain from sitting out there."
Nyra sighed deeply, returning to her glare. "Respectfully, Ser Arryk, my brother and I have been climbing out of that window for as long as I can remember." She said, "Today is no different, and if there was truly a risk, don't you think it would have been addressed beforehand?"
Arryk's expression didn't change. "You're on my watch, Princess. No roof climbing." She couldn't help the exhale of frustration, the need to stamp her foot only growing like a perpetual child.
"Then would you care to escort me to the private drawing room of my future husband so that we may indulge in truly heinous acts of animalistic copulation that would make even a Septa blush." Arryk's cheeks reddened before nodding.
He coughed. "I can do that for you, Princess."
"Excellent." She grinned like a cat, reaching out to interlock their arms before tugging him forward. "I plan on being choked so well that maybe we might even call you into the room to ensure that he hasn't killed me."
