Hey everyone!

Now if you can tell by the title, this isn't an update. It's more of a "Helpful" Thing for you guys! I recently got asked for writing tips and how to focus and things like that! Now I want to say before I get started that I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL. I am simply a mediocre writer in a Media Technology class in my high school, which is a Technical school. In that class we focus on Writing, Screen Capturing, Photoshop, Video Editing, etc...

Okay on to the good stuff!

-= PLOT =-

Plot, plot, plot, plot, plot....plot.

This is such a major part in your story. You must have a beginning, middle and end. The reason why I say this is because a majority of the ff's I read don't even have a plot and it really does confuse me. How I come up with a plot is I play out what I want first. For example, BMR was truly supposed to be based off of Romeo and Juliet. I wanted to have the same "Feeling" that R&J did but I didn't really want a full on story based upon it. I also came up with the idea while I was reading the book in my English class!

I also want to let you guys know that I do take some of my life stories and put them in the books I write as well, just to spice it up a bit.

-= WORDS TO WRITE =-

Now, this is a very optional thing because everyone has their different format on how much they want to write. For me, its 500 words. I know it's very little but I can't write 5,000 words like my friends can, that's beyond my limit. I write 1,000-2,000 words for a special occasion mostly, I never push it. But please write at a comfortable amount and keep it steady. What I mean by that is, don't write 500 words one day then the next write 200. I can see if you're in a rush but take your time while writing. The longer it takes for you to get it done, the better. I mean that.

-= MUSIC =-

Music, don't we love it?

With this, it can really mess with your head while youre writing. Trust me. For the anger chapter in BMR, I listened to Eminem and then ended with a sad break up song to show feeling. Music also sets the tone as well which is great too! I do recommend listening to The Eden Project for break up or sad scenes in your books, his music is really awe-inspiring. I also recommend songs like Lose It by Oh Wonder, Unsteady by X Ambassadors and irreplaceable by Madilyn Paige. I found a lot of these songs from Vine edits, which are flipping amazing. I used these songs as well.

-= WHAT TO TYPE ON =-

Now, I know a lot of people are different or prefer a weird looking sketchy website to type on. I use Microsoft Word; I hate writing on Wattpad because to me that's not how to "Properly" write. What I do is after I'm done writing my chapter; I save it and then copy and paste it all onto wattpad then upload it. it's easier for me and lets me know where my mistakes are while I was typing. It does help a lot. But sometimes the computer isn't always right so make sure you re-read your stories too!

-= WORDING =-

Now this is another topic that really is a pet peeve of mine, and I don't really know why either. Please review your work. If there's anything school has taught me, it's to review and double check your work. It does make a big difference. Sometimes people use the wrong symbols. What I suggest doing is looking up what certain symbols are used for and then see where they should be placed. It's just something to keep a note for in the back of your mind while writing; it not only makes you, the writer, and looks good but also makes your story more professional and more "Authentic".

I think that ends it for tonight guys. I'm super tired and wanted to get this out before it was too late. I just want to help you guys out. I'm sorry if it's just a few topics, I'll probably talk more about them later on when I have free time.

If you have any questions about anything, feel free to comment or pm me! I'll be sure to message you back when I can.

I love you all my cute little French baguettes! <3
