Always...

Lily's Thoughts

A/N: Harry Potter belongs to J.K. Rowling (not me, but I wish...) and it is absolutely awesome. If I do not get all the facts correct it is meant to be that way. The character Genevieve belongs to me.

Lily's POV:

I woke up early the next morning and spotted Genevieve in the bed next to mine. She looked so vulnerable when she slept. I kept to my promise and grabbed a pair of robes from the top of my trunk and lay them at the end of her bed. I felt sorry for her and also a little guilty. I have a family, I love my parents but I don't get on with my sister and I often complain about her to my friends. Now I feel bad. She doesn't have a family. She doesn't have any money at all, or any proper belongings. I look down at her and see her thin but tall frame twitching in her sleep as if she is dreaming of unpleasant things.

I gently whisper her name and tap her shoulder a little, hoping to wake her from her unpleasant dream. All of a sudden she wakes.

She shoots into a sitting position and gasps loudly then looks around as if checking for danger. She spots me and hesitates.

"Lily?" Her scared face looks into my concerned eyes and then tears began to roll down her cheek.

I pull her into a hug. She stiffens and then relaxes into the hug crying and pouring out all of her emotions into it. I rub soothing circles into her back hoping to calm her. It is not long before she pulls out of the hug and wipes her eyes on her hands. I stand up and give her the set of robes saying.

"Here you go you can keep these, there is a shower in there and there are towels on the rack for you to use. Go have a wash."

"So we are friends right?" She asks.

"Always." I reply, thinking of how Severus answered when I asked him that.

A/N: This is a little bit of what lily is thinking. Kind of a filler as I have been busy lately. Tell me what you think. Also a question.
