Always...

Settling In

After Lily comforted me and I had a shower I felt so much better. I was clean and dressed in perfectly fitting clean clothes that smelt of fresh laundry for the first time in a few years. I had skipped to Dumbledore's office in joy to go and get a wand which he had offered to pay for. When I met Mr Ollivander he looked at me gravely through his glasses and sighed sadly. I have been wondering ever since what that was about but I cannot think why, because the second wand he gave to me actually chose me! I had not had possessions for a while but the first thing I end up receiving (apart from Lily's clothes) actually chose me. That made me feel really special.

I has been almost a week since then and tomorrow Dumbledore said I could meet the new family that he had found for me. I am so excited and yet filled with anxiety at the thought of meeting them, what if the don't like me? What if they only want me to tease? I have decided that I will try and make a good impression and work really hard to do so.

Right now I am sat in the common room with Lily, my new friend and all round best buddy, trying to complete some homework. We had been given a particularly long essay off Professor Binns about famous goblin rebels and we decided to get it over and done with unlike some others...

Sirius Black and James Potter, they are constantly pranking and messing about. Having some fun I call it but Lily is not so keen. Especially on James Potter, probably because he is always cornering her other 'bestie' Severus Snape and testing out new spells learned in class on him. I had mixed opinions of this. Severus and I had not exactly gotten of to a good start, you see he was in Slytherin and looked up to my "darling brother" for ideas. This is how he came to hate me, glaring at me every time we are forced to be near each other. I mean I had done nothing wrong but it made me feel very self-conscious to always have him scrutinizing me no doubt telling my "dear brother" all about me. Severus no doubt will turn out just like my brother. I can feel it in my bones which is why I don't mind what James does to him .

"Are you done yet?" Lily asks me, waving a hand in front of my face to cause me to come out of my trance.

"Uh yea, I'm tired." I said stifling a yawn. "Lets head up to bed." and as I walked up the stairs to my dorm I couldn't help it but turn around and glance back, only to see two green eyes watching me.
