Chapter one
Death
The sunlight strokes her pale skin. Her motionless body was as cold as ice even with the burning sun striking it for hours. The cold body has been laying there since yesterday 10:00 PM with no one aware, not even the people living in the building she was thrown behind.
It was 5:00 in the early morning and a small family exited the building as they planned to take a road trip. The ten-year-old boy, Anwar, was playing with a remote controlled car that turned out of the boy's control behind the building, and the curious child, ignoring his mother's warnings to stay close, followed the dark path. The innocent child, Anwar screamed bloody murder when he saw the blood spilling from the pale body lying on the cold concrete.
The parents immediately ran at the sound of their son's scream. The mother took Anwar in her arms trying to calm him down and make him forget the horrific scene he just witnessed, while the father called the nearest police station.
Ameera and A'aidah's dorm:
Ameera Aboud paced back and forth in the small room. Since yesterday, she's been wide awake when her sister, A'aidah Aboud, didn't return to the campus and didn't answer her calls. Ameera didn't want to overreact and waited an hour then two then three, but couldn't stop worrying and called the police.
Even though you couldn't report someone missing unless twenty hours had passed, except if he is a child or a special case, one of her father's brother-like-friends works as a detectives in a police station. After turning to him, the old man promised her that he will give a photo of A'aidah and her description to as many police stations and cops as he could.
Police Station:
Ali Imam didn't know how to tell Ameera, who he considered his own daughter, that he found nothing except a dead body that was close to the "description" they have. Not only that, the girl was slaughtered by a knife and that's not the worst part. Ameera has to see the body so she could either rule her as A'aidah or not. Ali locked his IPhone; he just didn't have the heart to tell her such news on the phone.
