As I mentioned in the previous note, I'm in the process of turning this story into a novel, which I realise means (at least until a change of heart) it will not be posted on Wattpad.
In fact, this has been a long time coming, but I'm only now able to articulate it—Wattpad will be taking a backseat for now. I know I'm not exactly an active presence around here, but my writing projects have always been intended for this platform. That's not the case anymore, which is to say, I'm taking my writing a little more seriously.
I need a space for that transition and change, which is why I have started a Substack newsletter, where I hope to take that seriousness as opposed to the experimentation ground that Wattpad has been for me. I think Substack is somewhere I can approach with greater intention and intimacy, and it's a small part of my larger pursuit—this debut novel.
New year, new me, I guess. It's a clean slate, and I'm starting the year off a little ambitious. I hope you will continue supporting me on this journey. I'd love for you to come along, because your presence means more than you know—it's a spirit that keeps me writing, and chase that dream:
