Lara's POV

______

Matapos ang limang araw na paghihintay, weekend finally came. The girls and I decided to watch the new movie 'Mission Impossible' since hindi pa lumalabas yung 'Paper Towns'.

Excited pa naman ako since I read the book with Chris and Via, but unfortunately we had to wait some more. We agreed na magkita sa theater ng 10:30. Akala ko late na 'ko since I arrived exactly 11:00, pero nung dumating ako, wala pa sila. Filipino time nga naman...

After a while dumating si Ella and Via, then sumunod si Joyce then we waited for Chris to come.

"Finally natapos na rin ang first week ng Cupid's Champ." I said with a sigh.

Ella shows off her one-sided smile, "I don't mind. Maayos na partner si Max."

Lumapit si Joyce sa 'kanya, I knew ever since the games started gusto niya na kaming ma involve agad. Unfortunately, so far, wala pa sa'min nag give in. Except Ella of course.

"So mag papatalo ka?" Via asked. Nakita ko yung biglaang pagaalala sa mga mata ni Ella. I knew she wanted to win pero alam din namin na matagal niya ng crush si Max. I mean, who can blame her? It's Max Marzo, everyone's favorite boy.

Before Ella could answer nilapitan kami ni Chris. "Sorry guys, traffic kasi, at ang bagal mag drive ni Jett."

I immediately widened my eyes. Si Jett? Naririto? Oh no..

"Shall we get popcorn? Yes? Yes? Okay, dali samahan mo ko Vi." I quickly grabbed Via's arm before she could protest, and dragged her all the way to the food station.

She looked at me with a confuse look, "Na ano ka? Ba't biglang namula yang pisngi mo?"

"Nothing." I said nervously, "So... You buy the popcorn and tapos ako na bibili ng drinks."

"Okay." She said cheerfully. It didn't take long at nakabili na rin si Joyce, Chris at Ella ng ticket namin. I looked around hoping not to see Jett.

So far, so good.

After the movie, dumertso kami sa DADS for lunch. We had our own little conversations. Si Joyce at Ella, they talked about the movie we just watched while Via, Chris and I talked about how monarchy could change our country.

"I'm telling you guy, kung may hari yung Pilipinas, there wouldn't be plenty of corruption going on." Chris said passionately.

"Yeah, pero mas maganda parin ku--" Chris shoved a huge salmon sushi sa bunganga ni Via bago niya matapos yung sinasabi niya.

"Agree ka na lang sa'kin Vi." Patawang sabi ni Chris. We all laughed, including Via. We spent a whole hour and a half laughing, talking about random things like politics and cakes.

Walang nag open up ng topic about Cupid's Champion. It was like it didn't even matter at all.

Matapos kami kumain, nag paalam agad si Chris since kailangan niya pumunta sa Cavite for Smart Talking Regionals. She didn't even stay for desserts. Kumain kami ng tiramisu at chocolate mousse cake, which was her favorite.

Around 2:00, umalis sina Via at Ella since meron pa silang practice para sa football. So, Joyce and I decided to just go shopping. It didn't last long though, soon nakatanggap siya ng text message galing sa pinakamamahal niyang Michael Joshua.
