1 week later....
Sophia's POV:
Thank God it's finally the last class of the day!
Halle and I scurry to Mr. Guerra's class.
Apparently, today, we'll be starting with the machines!
Squeeeee!
As we entered Mr. Guerra's class, the bell rang.
Halle and I giggled, and took our seats.
Mr. Guerra went on and on about how to use the machinery, for like, about 25 minutes.
Then, he lead us to where the machinery was.
"Okay kiddos! First thing, you'll get a piece of wood, which is in a pile over there," he said pointing to his right. "Then, you'll get this whale, and trace it on to the wood. After that, go get some glasses from the cabinet over there, and begin cutting! If you need help, just ask me!"
Mr. Guerra gave me the wood with the whale already traced on it, and smiled.
Yes! A headstart!
I grab some glasses, and began cutting.
I had to say, it was difficult doing so with my manicure!
It felt cool, yet risky!
Why?
Cool: I was learning how to make a masterpiece!
Risky: I could cut my finger.
A lot of kids last year had gotten minor cuts from working on the machine.
After a few minutes, I finished!
I walked to Halle, who was waiting for an open machine.
She grabbed my whale.
"So cute!" she exclaimed.
I grinned.
"Thanks, but I still have to file it, sand it, and get my grade!"
I spent the rest of the period filing my whale, making it softer by the minute.
Halle was still waiting for a machine by the time the bell rang.
We quickly packed up, and ran through the door.
We bumped into Jake.
"Hey!" Halle shouted.
Jake spotted us, and ran over to us.
"Hi Jake." I say.
He smiles.
"Hi, Sophia."
Suddenly, Halle clears her throat.
"You two LOVEBIRDS!"
I blush.
"Um, bye."
I run to my mom's car, and we drive away.

Halle's POV:
When I got home, I called Sophia.
S: "What do you want?"
Me: "Um....why you mad?"
S: "Seriously? You called Jake and me 'lovebirds'. We're only friends. Actually, we're not even friends! We only talk!"
Me: "Sophia! You guys have a chance at love! Take this opportunity! Become more than his friend! Tell him that you like him!"
S: "You don't tell me what to do! You know what? You're the worse friend EVER! Ugh! You're..."
