Sophia's POV:
As I waved goodbye to Jake, I began to walk to home room. I see Halle sitting in the desk next to mine. I gulp, and pridefully sit in my seat.
You're acting foolish, Sophia. She said sorry, so forgive her, my conscience advises. No way, she hurt me, I hurt her.
God! Since when did I become so heartless. I shake the bad feeling, and feel someone's eyes bore into the side of my head. I turn around to Keisha glaring at me. I look at her and she sneers and begins whispering to her minions.
I turn back around, and catch Halle looking at me. She looks scared, and looks down. For the first time since I met Halle, she's quiet as a stone. I feel guilty, even though she's the one that should feel bad.
After what seems like a lifetime, the bell rings, and I run for my first class.

As I walk into my first class, I see a new girl in the corner.
"Hi!" I say, and the girl jumps. "H-hi.." She shyly replies.
"I'm guessing you're new?" I ask. She nods. I give her a warm smile, and extend my hand. "The name's Sophia, but you can call me anything you like." She grins, and shakes my hand. "My name's Becky, but you can call me Beck."
"Well, Becky, how do you like this school so far?" I ask, trying to make her feel comfortable. She shrugs. "It's normal as a school can be, but there's just some people I'm trying to stay away from." As soon as the bell rings, the teacher makes Becky introduce herself. And she does. I found out she had moved from New York, and her parents were looking for a calm place to live in.
I saw Halle's eyes becomes as big as saucers. She used to say she wanted to visit New York one day. Becky sat down, and the class began. We had to do a packet, and I talked to Becky. "Why'd you move here from New York. New York seems like a great place to live in." I comment. Becky just looks down. Take things slower. Remember what happened last time. The bell rang, and we all got up to go to our next class. I waved a goodbye to Becky, and we decided to meet up during lunch. As I got out to my next class, I felt a poke at my stomach, and I saw Jake. I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously Jake?" I ask, and smile. He nods. "I had to. So how are things going with 'you-know-who'?" I shrug. "I kinda feel bad for how I'm treating her." I reply.
He shakes his head. "You should give her a second chance-"
I explode. "Please don't tell me what to do. Please! I'll catch you up later, duders." I walk away.

"OMG! Sophie, is that really true?" Becky exclaims, just as we leave the cafeteria. I nod. "Yes, I don't have many friends. I guess they're missing out on moi!" I crack up, and so does Becky. As soon as we calm down, I decide to ask her.
"Becky, tell me something. What would you do if one of you bestest friends ever, who was also your only friend, was to dump you for popularity, and then kind of bully you everyday? What if they apologized, and promised to change, and you felt bad? Would you get some sweet-deserved revenge, or would you welcome her back into your life?" I ask.
Becky glances at me, and smiles. "Something like that happened to me, and it changed my life. My friend followed the same steps as your friend, and felt horribly bad after what she did, and she would apologize numberless times. I swore that I would never forgive her. She followed me to the bookstore, and I saw her, and ran out the door, crossed the street, and just stopped running because I thought that she might've given up. And then I saw her running out. And I saw the red light change to a green light, and I saw her run, and I screamed at her to run back, and then I saw it, a big truck speeding...it hit her, right in front of my eyes. She-she didn't survive. That's why I moved. After that incident, I've learned to give people 2nd chances, even a 3rd or 4th."
I'm shocked at these news. I don't want that to happen to Halle, as much as I want revenge.
