Chapter 7- Sorry? I don't think so...

Sophia's POV:

I shake my head.

"No way! I ain't going to play that!" I exclaim.

Everyone stares at me, and begin to argue.

Ally clears her throat, and stares at me with her blue, icy eyes.

"Come on, Sophia! It's just a game!"

I shake my head.

"I'm gonna go to the snack bar." I say, and walk away to the table.

As soon as I'm over there, talking goes on, as if nothing had happened.

I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I turn around to Jake.

His eyes are green today.

I feel...dragonflies in my stomach.

"Hey." he says breathlessly.

"Hey. I didn't expect to see you here, Jake." I respond as bravely as I can.

He chuckles.

"Me neither. Anyways. What you did back there? Amazing, brave, courageous." he whispers.

I smile.

"Thanks. I-I just don't want to waste my..." I begin.

"Your what?" Jake asks, before taking a sip of strawberry Fanta.

I blush.

"My first kiss." I say slowly.

He nods.

"Same for me! I saw you do that, so I put on my big boy underwear and came over here." he replies.

I cock my eyebrows.

"Your first kiss?!"

He looks at me.

"What makes you think I've already had the big kiss?" he asks curiously.

I feel my cheeks heat up even more.

"It's...it's just that since...a lot of chicks are chasing after you, I thought..." I begin embarrassingly.

Jake rolls his eyes.

"You serious? Wow, Sophia. Wow. How about we change the subject, since this is getting awkward."

I nod, my head looking like a bobby-head.

He grins.

"So why are you actually here?" Jake asks.

I shrug.

"Some girl couldn't make it to the party, so Alicia invited me."

He nods.

"My friend was on the invited list, and asked Ally if I could come." he explains.

After a few seconds of silence between us, I point to the door.

"I'm getting a headache. Wanna go out to the living room and hangout?" I ask, my stomach doing cartwheels and somersaults.

He nods.

"Sure."

Halle's POV:

I saw Sophia and Jake sneak out of the room.

Wow.

I can't believe Sophia didn't believe me; they look like a couple.

"ANNALISA!" Keisha's voice squeals at me.
