Time Runs Out

When does time ever recall such an event as this, where all our people are together
Does time ever feel sorry for us
Does time ever feel remorse
Such a time as now would make time itself weep
It should make time weep
But it doesn't, does it
Time feels nothing
Time is old and has seen everything there is to see
It no longer cares
suffering
pain
sorrow
this means nothing to it
for the passage of time is forever
and ever

where has the time gone
some ask
oh my, time does fly
other may say
but time hasn't gone anywhere
and time most certainly can't fly
its here to stay
forever
and ever

ruthless and brutal
harsh and cold-blooded
poison
fear
death
it sets into the hearts of many
settles into the depths of all

time, time to what?
time till when?
time
forever
and ever

time has been around too long
so long that it can see into the future
and the past

patterns
shapes
emotions
everything is repeating
over
and over

forever
and ever

time knows this

what shouldn't happen
what will never happen

but does time even care?
why does it just keep on tick

because time knows no matter how hard it tries
nothing will change the patterns of this world
absolutely nothing
and it knows that one person
just one little person can't change the future
the patters are already set
set in motion
set in stone
forever
and ever

what would happen if time saw something
something other than all the negatives in this dreadful world
this hateful, godforsaken world
what if time saw a spark
a tiny little spark
of hope
of joy
of love
do you think time would be more forgiving
a laugh
a kiss
a mothers love
a flower in bloom
a pure smile
the soldier finally coming home
brothers and sisters together
friends sharing memories
a precious child
time might reconsider this world
slow down a bit
or perhaps speed up
but never stop
no, time knows better than to
but for some reason
for whatever reason
time has decided not to stop
would we know if time did
how do we know
would we ever know
