Chapter 10: Chance

Jaylan's POV

Anastasia came busting through the door which made Naomi and I jump.

"Whose after us?" Naomi said ducking for cover.

"What? No one." Anastasia said while flopping onto the bed.

"But guess what?"

"What?" Me and Naomi said in unison.

"Ok so get this, I was ignoring your brother but when he grabbed my hand he got burned."

"Ha." Naomi laughed.

"By what? Is he ok?"

"He's alive. And I burned him... But I didn't mean to..." Me and Naomi looked at Anastasia like she was crazy until Naomi asked a question I wasn't expecting.

"Are you a witch?" Naomi asked.

"What?"

"Ok I know they died out but wouldn't that explain you almost be as fast as me in human form and you burning the bitch?" She said.

"Yes...." It was dead silent. We had the last witch sitting on my bed

"Cast a spell." Naomi said.

"I don't know how to. Things just have been happening depending on my emotion"

"Emotion huh?" Naomi said with a smirk on her face. I knew she was planning something.

"Since we have no school tomorrow let's get some sleep, its already 2:00 am." I said yawning.

"Yea, your party was great." Naomi said falling asleep.

"Oh yes speaking of it I saw you with some guy naomiii" Anastasia said smirking.

"Who was he?"

"No one we'll meet again." She said before drifting off to sleep.

I wanted to ask more questions but I couldn't keep my eyelids up.

Daniel's POV

It was 8:30 am when I was informed of some rouge sightings. We've never had any rouge attacks but everyone in our pack in enough shape to fight. Everyone trained except young children, pregnant women, and old lady's.

"They're gone." Joshua said sitting on the couch.

"Tighten security up around this house, any rouges you see that looks like an attacker kill them on sight." Joshua looked at me wide-eyed as if I had said something I wasn't suppose to.

"I won't stand for any deaths in this pack."

"Everyone has shifted though."

"Everyone? Are you forgetting about Anastasia?" I said while doing some paper work.

"No. I haven't." I forgot about their argument the other day.

"What happened between you two?"

"I kissed a red-head."

"Dumbass."

"Yes I know. She won't even look at me."

Just then there was a knock on the door. We didn't get any visitors around this time (10:00 am now) so I told Joshua to stand by the back while I opened the door.

I swung the door only to see a red haired girl with black eyes in my view. Red hair. I turned to see Joshua who was looking at the girl.

"C-can I come in?"
"Yes." She stepped in and I closed the door behind her.

"I'll give you two some time." I said grabbing the papers and heading to my room.

Joshua's POV

Natalie stepped in and I looked at her surprised to see her there.

"I'm sorry." She says bowing her head.

"There's no need to bow and there's no need for you to apologize." I say looking at her.

She smiles.
"Your mate... she's adorable"

"I don't think I can call her my mate right now." I said looking down.

I heard footsteps and turned to see Anastasia looking at the girl with no emotion in her eyes. She was wearing a shirt that stopped right on her thighs which made me growl. If any of the unmated males were here...tsk. I clenched my teeth fighting the urge to carry her upstairs and make her mine.

To my surprise Natalie ran over to Anastasia which made my eyes widen.

"I'm sorry I didn't know he was your mat-"

"He's not." These are the first words I've heard her say in a few hours.

"Um what?" Natalie asked.

"He's not my mate. Even if this mate pull says so I won't accept it. Anyway I'm hungry so move."

Natalie moved aside and Anastasia made her way to the kitchen without a glance at me. I followed her.

"Give me a chance to explain" she took out the milk from the fridge.

"Anastasia please." She tried to reach for the cereal on top of the fridge but of course she couldn't reach it. I went beside her and got the cereal while she was looking on the floor. How adorable.

She tried to reach for the cereal by jumping up but she touched my arm and pulled away. She wanted to turn about but I grabbed her hand thinking it would burn me but it didn't so I turned her around and crashed my lips against hers.

I grabbed her other hand which was beating on my chest and started kissing down her neck
hearing her cute moans.

"S-stop." I heard her say

I pulled away from her and saw tears falling down from her face.

"Anastasia I promise you I will never do it again" I said pulling her into a tight hug and kissing her forehead.

I heard claps and looked at Jaylan and Naomi who was probably watching us the entire time.

"Damn right you'll never do it again." Naomi said

"I'm so happy for you two" my sister smiled. I looked down at Anastasia who was blushing and looking away.

"NO STOP!" It was screams coming from outside I'm sure it woke everyone up because I heard doors opening but what I didn't expect was what happened next.
