Young master Cale has a lover?!

CH 23

"I'm retiring, I can't do this mage stuff anymore."

He complained to the void as he made the said void under Cale's bed, it was two cats big and three thumbs wide. It had a slightly violet, bluish hue with a red aura. 

"Is it harmless?"

Cale asked (that was his sleeping point after all) peering over the other man's shoulder. 

"Of course it isn't, it manifests rats and lemons."

"..."

Davian deliberately ignored the side eye bestowed upon him by Mr Red head. He was feeling very spiteful today for some reason.

A frustrated sigh left him as he stuck his head in the hole to see the other side.

Cale looked at his boyfriend, and didn't know how they ended up married in his past life, it wasn't that.. he regretted it, it was just weird how he managed to tolerate his mood swings.

The red head leaned down slightly to look over his shoulder to see what Davian was doing. 

And on the other side of the portal was...

A cat caffe?

A very modern looking, it was almost like they were back on their earth. 

'How the..'

Cale barely made it past the thought when Davian stole four kittens in one go (and a packet of instant coffee) and closed the portal. 

The young man looked smug and very self satisfied at that.

"Do you like them?"

He asked innocently (as if he hadn't just committed a crime in broad day light) holding the kittens up to him, they stared back with big, shiny eyes. 

Cale let out a long suffering sigh, as if someone had just asked for his kidneys.

"Return them, these are not yours."

"But you kidnapped kittens too, i'm just following a senior citizen's steps."

At the mention of age, Cale exhaled.

'This brat--'

He did kind of have a point, but he hadn't kidnapped On and Hong, they came to him with their own free will.

As if reading his mind Davian retorted.

"They didn't struggle when I took them."

"I don't know, maybe because you took them from a cat caffe, where cats are used to being carried around."

Cale couldn't keep the sass out, an exasperated sigh leaving him (again), Davian was a smart man (when he wanted to be), but at times.. he showed the stubborn streak of a mule (look who's talking).

"Exactly, isn't it good they are already domesticated?"

It wasn't even a question, it was clear that the mage was just doing it to mess with him at this point.

When Cale didn't reply and just stared at him silently, with an air of disappointment that could rival Lee Soo Hyuk's own, Davian sighed.

"Gawd, fine, fine. No need to pull out the leader mode, I was just playing."

The kittens mewled as he started making a circle again, it took a few moments before it turned into a portal and the kittens were released (tossed) into it again.

Before closing it, this time, he stole a Buzz Lightyear keychain and a tub of (pistachio) ice cream.

Cale just shook his head in resignation as he plopped down on his bed, he couldn't scold him for food, as long as it wasn't kidnapping or killing (unnecessarily) Davian had a lot of leeway (that he exploits).

As he laid there, eating the ice cream with Davian (because apparently, sharing is caring is a moral he has) a thought crossed his mind, if Davian can make portals like that...

What if they started an instant coffee (packets selling) or just coffee business, the crown prince would be their number one customer, no doubt. That man needs caffeine, even if his current fuel is mostly tea these days.

He could leave the management to Davian and his minions, and maybe enjoy an iced americano.

He thought about it, and then suspended the idea because it took too much thinking, and he was a slacker now, not a merchant.

Ps. We might see Davian switch from a mage to a barista in the near future if Cale plays his cards right. 👀

No cats were harmed in this CH.

Also, they later had (instant) coffee together, it goes without a saying that Cale's coffee was overly sweetened to his preferences. 

I know I'm not updating this story often, but this series is like a bunch of one shots for me, it doesn't have much plot, just what comes in my mind, more self indulgent than anything. So when an idea strikes, I write. If you have any ideas you can comment them, and if they inspire me, I'll add them here.

(But Davian is actually a thought out character with a backstory and quirks.)
