Corey's P.O.V

I heard my phone ringing from my bag, so I left the guys and grabbed it. I noticed Cortney wasn't here anymore.

"She went home!" Brenna shouted to me.

I nodded and saw Helen's number and answered.

Corey: Helen?

Helen: Corey, where are you!?

Corey: At the park, why?

Helen: Stay there I'm coming to get you!

Corey: Um... OK. Is Cortney there?

Helen: ... Just stay.

She hung up and I got worried.

"GUYS! Helen is coming to get me, I think something happened to Cortney." I told them.

"She went home." Brenna said.

"I'm not so sure..." I mumbled.

The guys each went home, but Paul and Brenna waited with me.

"She'll be fine." Paul assured me.

I saw Helen's car drive over and stop, in front of us. She opened the passenger door for me.

"Later guys." I said, walking round the car.

Brenna and Paul waved at me and walked off. I climbed in the car and buckled up.

"Helen, what's going on?" I asked.

"Cortney, got hit by a car on her way home. The driver of the car took her to St Peter's hospital. He said the road was iced up and he lost control." Helen told me.

I could feel my heart beating fast. I was scared. I starred at Helen as she drove.

"Wh..." I could hardly speak.

I should of been with her... Why didn't she let me know she was leaving? This is all my fault! I should be in hospital, not her!

I took deep breaths trying to calm myself. I was panicking!

Helen got to the hospital and we climbed out the car. We ran inside and up to the main desk.

"Hi. We're looking for a Cortney Sixx." Helen said.

The lady told us what room she was in and we ran over.

A man was pacing about in the waiting room. He saw us and asked: "Are you her mum?"

Helen nodded

"I'm so sorry! I lost all control. I tried to break, but it was too late. The doctor said nothing was broken, but she did have a nasty bump. She bruised her right arm, so that has been bandaged up and her head was bleeding, they sorted it. Again, I'm SO sorry." The man said.

"Thank you for bringing her here." Helen spoke.

I nodded and sat down.

The man left us after a couple of minutes of talking to Helen and a doctor came in.

"Family of Cortney Sixx?" He asked

"Her mother." Helen replied.

"Good. Come with me. You can see her now." He replied. We both followed him down the corridor. "She is awake. Took a bump, but it's all clear. She can be checked out tonight." The doctor smiled, opening the door for us, when he finished.

Cortney waved a little and I ran over.

"Why didn't you let me know you were leaving? Are you OK? It should be me in that bed." I said, taking her hand in mine.

She shook her head and kissed my hand.

"You scared me." I said.

"Sorry." She whispered. Her voice was so fragile. It was just music to my ears, I wanted her to talk more, but I knew she wouldn't.

Helen signed her out, but we didn't leave the hospital until the doctor came back in with some meds to kill the pain in her head.

I wrapped my arm around her, so she wouldn't fall. I knew she was a bit dizzy.

We got to the car and I sat in the back with Cortney. She rested her head on my shoulder as Helen drove us home.

"Mind if I stay over tonight? I wanna make sure Cortney's OK." I asked Helen.

"Sure. Your mum knows you're with me." Helen replied.

Cortney kissed my cheek, but I caught her lips. Each time we kissed my heart skipped a beat. I knew Cortney was the girl for me. She was perfect in everyway. The first time I saw her I couldn't stop looking at her. Her smile was contagious. I just completely fell in love with her.

~

We got back to Cortney's and I helped her to her room. She lay on her bed and I lay down next to her. I helped take the bandage off her head and her arm. There was a purple-brown bruise on her arm. I kissed it and she smiled weakly.

"I love you with all my heart." I said.

"I love you too." She smiled quietly.
