It was Saturday, and I had promised Connor I would go with him to see his team play their game. Even though I had no idea on how baseball worked, Connor told me he would talk me through it. Connor couldn't play because, well, he had literally just been shot in the foot.

We approached the field, and his whole team surrounded Connor.

"Yo, Connor!"

"What's up, bro?"

Everyone was shouting things at once. Then I looked behind them all. It was Dustin, eyeing me. Was he on Connor's team? I guess so.

"Hey guys! Nice to see you," Connor was really happy to see his friends, so I just backed away and opened my cell phone. I started playing a simple game, when I heard my name. I jerked my head up, and it was Connor, motioning me towards him. I walked up to Connor and his two friends. One of them had very blonde hair with brown eyes like me, and the other one had dark brown hair with really piercing green eyes.

"Jude, this is Matthew and Jesse. Matthew is the pitcher, and Jesse is on first base. Guys, meet Jude," Connor smiling. I shook both of their hands. Matthew was the blondie, and Jesse was the one with the big green eyes.

"So this is the kid you were always talking about. It's almost as if he's your girlfriend or something!" Matthew started to laugh at his own joke. Jesse gave him a look.

"That's because he is my boyfriend," Connor smiled. Wow, he sure does have a lot of confidence to have said that. Both of the baseball players eyes widened.

"Oh, I didn't know you were into dudes," Matthew chuckled uncomfortably.

"Yeah, I guess I never mentioned that."

"I think it's cool. I mean it's like, who cares? You're still our best friend," Jesse patted his friend on the back. Connor smiled at Jesse's reaction.

"Thanks, Jess," Connor responded. "Well, good luck today! Hopefully I'll be back soon," Connor said, and started to walk with his crutches over to the bleachers. Dustin smiled at me, and went into the dugout.

I followed Connor to the bleaches, but nobody else was there. Connor told me that people don't usually come to the games until the tournament.

"Your friends seem nice," I smiled. He was iffy about the statement I had just made.

"Jesse is really accepting, I mean, all he cares about is baseball. He couldn't care less if I was a serial killer."

Throughout the game, I couldn't concentrate. I mean, it was so confusing. Connor tried to explain it to me, but there was no chance of me actually getting it. If I had to take Baseball at school, I would definitely fail. I did notice Dustin a lot. Whenever I looked at him, he was already looking at me. I would smile, and he would return it, tipping his cap. Weird.

By the end of them game, the score was 3-2, Connor's team being the 2. He was really into it to, he was hunched over, hands folded, foot tapping. He turned back to me.

"If Will is able to hit a home run, we will win 5-2." Connor said and focused back on the game.

"Yeah," I replied, pretending I knew what he was talking about.

"Kamden is on third base, and Dustin is on second. If Will is able to hit this ball out of the field, then we will be able to win 5-2, or worst case scenario, 4-2."

Connor was apparently right. Will hit a home run, and he started to cheer really loud. I did as well, even though I had no idea what was happening right in front of me. Connor tried to stand, but he remembered his foot.

"We did it!" Connor smiled and hugged Jude. Jude was happy for him, he hadn't looked this happy in a while.

"Congratulations," I said. "I had no idea what was happening throughout the whole entire game, but still congratulations!" I laughed. He laughed with me. He grabbed his crutches and made his way back to the dugout. Connor was talking to his friends as I noticed someone approaching me. Dustin.

His dark hair was matted against his forehead. He had sweat everywhere. I can't lie to you, okay? He did look hot. I mean literally. It was eighty five degrees today. But still.

"Hey Jude, I didn't know you were coming," Dustin smiled. Did he think I was obligated to come or something?

"Connor invited me. He wanted to see you guys play," I replied. He chuckled.

"That's nice of him. Anyway, are we still on for tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yes... One question. What exactly are we going to be doing?" I was being serious too. He laughed again. Why does he like to laugh so much? It's creeping me out.

"Anything you want, if Connor wants, he can come too," Dustin suggested. His eyes stared into mine, it was making me uncomfortable.

"Uh... I spend all of my time with him anyway, you too, he'll be fine," I say.

"Okay, then how about we go to the beach? Just walk around, we don't have to go in."

"Okay, sounds good," I smiled. I felt an arm wrap around my waist, it was Connor.

"What are you guys talking about?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing, I was just explaining baseball to him." Dustin laughed. That was weird, why didn't he want him knowing? He literally just invited him.

"Okay, we have to go. Nice seeing you though," Connor said, as he started to crutch away. I followed him, wondering why he was leaving already.

"Don't you want to stay with your friends?" I asked.

"I want to spend more time with you," He laughed.
