Dedicated to my younger sister, Paityn, who reminded me why I love to write, and asked me to give Simon and Calvin a second chance.

(2018): Honestly, I am just so happy with myself that I finished a book and can be proud of it. Not that P&PW is perfect, but I tried hard, and I feel like my work paid off! Instead of writing this book for anyone else (ex: my friends, for views, etc),  I wrote this book for myself; I wrote this book because I wanted to write a book that I wanted to read. Does that make sense? For everyone who has voted or commented, I truly appreciate the support, and I'd love to know what you think! Writing and reading have been my passions for a long time (as has everyone else's on this site haha), but I love being able to fall into someone else's world for awhile, so I hope that this book was that for someone. Thank you again for everything, and I hope you all enjoyed Simon, Calvin, Gwen, and Molly as much as I have.

Also, many things originally inspired me to write this book (and although writing boyxboy on Wattpad now is no big Thing, in 2013, with looming parents and the rise of Tumblr, it was starting to become a Thing), and I honestly wouldn't have been able to write this book without them. Inspiration is fickle, but I remember not being able to sleep at night because I was just imagining using these tools and tweaking them to tell what I considered to be a perfect story:

- Fanfiction: Reading loads and loads of Merlin and Sherlock fanfiction (specifically Johnlock and Merthur) really helped me to not be nervous about writing boyxboy, and several fics inspired me greatly at the time. The absolute biggest one being Small Weird Love by Emjayelle, which kind of gave me the premise for the whole story and then I ran with it. Small Weird Love was also written for this prompt (https://kinkme-merlin.livejournal.com/32238.html?thread=32863470), so it's kind of a big deal to give credit where credit is due, seeing as the poem was a big part of the plot of both of our stories.

- Music: Without angsty teenage love songs, this story wouldn't have been brought to life. So, there's a playlist down below if you'd like to get in the right Mood for the story.

I was just a 13-year-old girl with a lot of feelings who treated writing this as therapy, so bear with me (and the end result).

 xxx

This is just a list of all the songs I listened to while writing this book! The top is the 2013 list (aka the original #mood), and the second is what I listened to while editing and tweaking it in 2018. Enjoy!
