22/08/15.

"Do you really have to write everything? Like duh, nakikinig ka pa ba?"

Lily closed her notebook. "Sorry, it's just that-"

"I know your situation, Lil. Pero if you tend to write every little detail, di ba masyadong matrabaho yun? Oh. You got calluses." Izzy pointed out her friend's fingers. "Stop muna Lil. Got a recorder? You can do that. You're a writer and those fingers ang puhunan mo."

Lily sighed as she slumped her back on the back rest. "I know Iz. Stop reminding me. Di porket may sakit ako eh ginaganyan mo na ako. Ilan lang naman ang nakakalimutan ko, and not all."

"Fine." Izzy surrendered. "Eh did you actually remember what I've said earlier?"

"What?" Lily squinted her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "Oy Iz ah, wag mo akong lokohin."

"Sigurado naman ako na alam mong kasal na ako." Izzy started, raising a brow. "Did you just write it down your notebook?"

"Wait, the convo just a while ago?" Lily scanned through the pages, looking intently on the fine ink smeared on each page. "Na, may bago kang case na hinahawakan?"

"No. More important than that."

"Na, magkasama kayo ng asawa mo in the case as the special task force?" Lily looked at Iz, her eyes pleading for an answer. Izzy shook her head in dismay.

"Yun lang ba isinulat mo?"

"Oo?"

"See? Bring a recorder instead. Di mo pa naisulat yung importanteng sinabi ko. Tsk." Iz sighed. "Lil, I'm actually three weeks pregnant."

"Oh my God." Lily's eyes widened, then she placed her hand on her mouth. "S-sorry oh my god I didn't mean to-oh my---"

"Shhh. I know." Izzy brushed off. "Ninang ka. Note that."

Lily looked at her friend with a red face, before nodding and scribbling on her notebook.

Lily Jane had nothing to do but to type her thoughts on a blank Microsoft Word page before printing and sending it for assessment. Her fingers brushed majestically on each key, dropping enough force to press the key down. She was running out of time before she could forget everything she wrote for a novel.

Everything. Really everything.

The clock alarmed amd Lily was so frustrated. Hindi pa rin niya tapos ang istorya at bigla na lang nag-alarm ang orasan sa tabi niya. Bukod sa nakakagulantang, it added more pressure and stress for her. She flipped her arms in the air then slammed down her head on the keyboard, typing an enormous number of letters on her document.

"I'm f*cking doomed." Then her forehead hit the keyboard again. "Please." And again. "Don't." And again. "Betray." And again. "Me." And again. She stopped for a while before shutting the laptop down and earning a not-so-good afternoon shower.

She drove her car to a place she can't forget for now. Gusto man niyang lumayo na sa lugar at kalimutan na lang para wala siyang iinda, she can't because she was so damn worried about the people around her.

"Come in." A voice answered after a few knocks. Lily peeped through the door to see the familiar figure, still sitting on her swivel chair and dealing with her pen and prescriptions.

"Hey sweetie." The doctor said, showing her flashy smile at the girl in front of her. "I thought you forgot your appointment today."

"I have no reason to forget this, Doc." Lily smiled, then sat in front of her specialist. "My reasons are enough. Well, maybe enough."
