At The Door

Chapter 24

Nicki's Pov

I woke up and I was in my own bed. I turn to the side table to check the time and it's 2:13 a.m. "Brey?" I said as I shook him.

"Mmm." he groaned.

"Aubreeeeyyy." I whined bouncing a little.

"Nic what is it?" he said finally sitting up.

"I want peaches."

"Nic are you serious?"

I nodded quickly. I'm craving them so bad! I can't handle it. "Okay." he said getting off of the bed. I watched as he walked to his dresser and put on a pair of grey sweats. "I'll be back." He said after he slipped on a hoodie. I nodded, we kissed and he left.

I pulled the blanket onto my lap and leaned my back against the headboard. I stared at the wall for a moment. I'm bored... I picked up the remote and scrolled through the channels. My eyes widened when I saw Judge Judy. I don't know why it's on this late, but who cares. I'm glad it's on.

"I'm back babe." Drake said walking into the room. I smiled as he approached me with a huge bowl of peaches. I grabbed the fork and stuffed a huge piece into my mouth. As I was happily chewing my peach, Drake all of a sudden jumped, literally, onto the bed, making me choke.

I coughed over and over struggling to breathe. "Oh dang babe you good?!" he yelled hitting my back. I gagged and ran into the bathroom.

Drake's Pov

I watched Nicki walked back towards the bed looking ticked off. "Babe I didn't mean to do that." I said feeling guilty.

"Whatever Drake. How are you gonna give me a bowl of fruit, knowing that I'm on the bed, and then jump into the bed thinking that nothing would happen?!" she yelled.

"Baby calm down. It's not good for the baby." I said trying to calm her down.

"Save it." she spat before laying down, facing the opposite direction.

The Next Morning

I woke up to Nicki with her arms wrapped around my waist. I smiled. This woman is literally my world and I'm so blessed that I have her. "Aub." she whispered, breaking my train of thought.

"Yes baby?" I whispered back, kissing her forehead.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you last night."

"Babe it's fine. I deserved it. I'm sorry for jumping into the bed." I said. She nodded and squeezed me tighter.

"I love you Aubrey." She said in a low voice.

"I love you too Nic." I answered. We lay there for a few minutes before getting up.

"Are you taking a shower with me Brey?" Nicki said poking her head out of the bathroom.

"Hmmm." I said dramatically rubbing my chin like before.

"Don't start that Drake. Get yourself in here and shower with me." She spoke calmly. I was actually surprised that she didn't yell at me. I shrugged it off and went into the bathroom.

Sabrina's Pov

Flashback

"TELL ANYONE AND YOU DEAD!" He spat in my face. He picked me up roughly, climbed up the ladder, opened my window, and threw me into my room.

Flashback Over

I sat in the corner of my room shaking and rocking back and fourth. I don't know what to do with myself. I didn't sleep at all last night. Who would be able to after what happened last night?

 I carefully got up and quietly ran into the bathroom across from my room. I looked in the mirror and I was a mess.

I got out a towel and went into the shower. I hissed in pain as the water stung the cuts on my legs and arms. Tears stung my eyes as I carefully washed my body. Once I was done, I got out and wrapped myself in my towel.

Once I was done brushing my teeth, I went back into my room. I'm starting home school today since the day I really was supposed to start, I got sick, and then we went to Trinidad.

I really am not in the mood for any type of schooling. I just wanna lock myself in my room and cry. I feel miserable.

2:45 p.m.

"Okay thank you. I'll see you tomorrow." I said hugging Ms.Chanel. We're finally done with the lesson.

"How was that?" Mama said sitting next to me.

"It was fine. I like her." I said, yawning afterwards.

"Take a nap my baby. You seem tired." She said pulling me down so that my head was on the pillow that she had placed on her lap. My eyes became more and more heavy, as I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Nicki's Pov

I watched Judge Judy re-runs as Sabrina slept peacefully. She must've been very tired. I wonder why though... I'm pretty sure the she was asleep when we got back. Well, I don't know. I woke up in my bed so I have no clue what happened.

My train of thought was broken when Sabrina started to stir. "No. Stop." she mumbled. I rubbed her back to try to calm her down, but she started whimpering.

"Bri." I said carefully shaking her. She popped up and stared at me with watery eyes. I brought her into a hug and rubbed her back. I started to feel her tears seep through my shirt and I started to get worried.

"Sabrina what's going on?" I asked pulling away and looking at her.

"I had a nightmare." She said wiping her tears.

"I know that babe. But there has to be more." I said wiping her tears. She shook her head.

"It was just a bad dream. I'm fine." She said. I hesitated before nodding. I watched as she got up and went upstairs.

"Drake?" I asked walking into the kitchen where he was eating a bag of chips.

"Oh hey Nic. Want some?" He asked. I shook my head and sat next to him.

"I'm worried about Bri."

"Why?"

"She had a nightmare earlier."

"Nicki kids have nightmares sometimes. I'm sure she's fine."

I nodded and rested my chin on my hand. "She was in bed last night right?" I asked.

"Yeah. She walked into her room. After I put you into the bed, I went to check on her and she was sound asleep."

"Around what time?"

"Around 9:12. Why?"

"She was really tired."

"She probably had a rough night. We did a lot of flying last night."

I nodded agreeing with him.
