Threne's POV
After spending an hour inside the shed, waiting for the rain to slow down, I gently pat the head of the now sleeping white dog beside me.
I don't think the rain will stop any minute now. Stupid Hera, if only she keep her hands to herself, we can go home together with her car. But now that I think about it, if I ride Hera's car, I might not know this adorable doggy.
After sighing a couple of times, I notice a black car moving in a slow pace. It stop infront of us and the window roll down. To my suprise, a familiar face pop out with a huge handsome grin.
"Ken?!" I exclaim.
"Hey, Miley. Long time no see."
"Idiot! Why didn't you tell me you came back already?" A chuckle escape from his mouth as he shrug his shoulders.
"I love surprises, y'know."
I roll my eyes and smile at his ridiculous words. Ken Walter is my childhood bestfriend who moved in Japan during his first year of highschool. We're actually neighbors and he always went to our house to play. We grew up together but when we reach highschool, his father decided to transfer him to Japan.
Of course, that breaks my heart since he was my bestfriend. Well, until I met Hera.
"What are you doing here?" He ask, curiosity is clear on his pale face.
"Just waiting for the rain to stop. I don't think I can go home since I didn't bring any umbrella."
Like who would have thought I would go home by myself when there's actually a car I can ride with an existing roof to prevent myself from getting drench. Really damn it Hera!
"Oh, that is...sad."
Yeah, no shit.
"Okay, hop in! The door on the back is unlock. I'll just send you home." He says, closing the windows a little bit to prevent droplets from entering his car.
My eyes widen at his words.
I unconsciously tilt my head to the dog beside me. The dog raises it's head and look at me emotionlessly.
I can't just leave him alone.
"Wanna come with me?" I ask at the dog, hoping he'll nod or something which might be weird. And creepy.
The dog nuzzles his nose towards me and a smile form on my face as I restrain myself from squeezing him and open the door in the back.
"Let's go!"
He jumps and sits like a king when he enters. He also glares at Ken for whatever reason. Ken twitches causing for me to laugh.
"I think the dog hates you." I state after laughing for a few seconds. A force smile made its way to Ken's face as he warily look at the white dog.
"R-Right."
I soon hop in, and Ken starts the engine. As he drives, Ken gives us two towels. One for me and the other is for the dog. I rub his fur as he is looking outside the window.
"Hey, do you have an owner?" I ask, but I know dogs can't "talk" and so I realize that I'm being stupid and just shrugged.
Well, you can't blame me. I talk to them even knowing that they won't respond and just stares at me like they want food or something.
I contemplate whether to go to the police and leave him there or better yet, call and ask them if there are any reports about some missing white dog in the streets but before they could answer the phone, the dog suddenly snatches my cellphone and went under the seat.
