My Pets?!

Chapter 12

Threne's POV

It's been a while now. Ever since Jiro got dognapped, everything came back to normal as well as my life with the pets.

But thanks to that, I became paranoid. Aside from that, things went good. We became more closer because well, I always spend my time with them.

Though sometimes, something is really unusual in their actions. Like when I change infront of them, they would turn their heads away and even grab Jiro's collar to force his head away from me who's always staring at me. Creepily.

Then there's this one, when I tried to take a bath with them, they would run off...and so, I have to take a bath on my own.

Then whenever I'm going to sleep, I always feel some light licks on my cheeks and lips. And sometimes on my neck. But I ignore it, after all they're 'just' animals.

And the most surprising of all, whenever a classmate of mine would come to our house, especially a boy, they would growl and hiss. Though Jiro would only glare at them.

I sigh while looking at Reed, who's running after the ball I currently throw. We were basically here at the park. It's been awhile since I let them go here, afraid that someone will capture them. But I can't just keep them at the house forever. So I let them expose at the public a bit.

When Reed came back, he placed the ball on my feet and gave me a very,

'VERY'

Cute and adorable look. I squealed and hugged him. Before I could even stop myself, I've been kissing his face everywhere. After kissing his forehead,his snout ascended and licked my lips. I stopped for a minute before releasing a giggle and hugged him again. Then I felt a nuzzle on my side.

I looked at Jiro who's staring at me with cold eyes. My eyes went to the ball on his mouth and chuckled.

So, he also want to play fetch, huh?

Just awhile, after we arrived here, he quickly lay down and slept.

I chuckled again and threw the ball. He quickly ran to it and within a minute,he came back with the ball on his mouth. My eyes widened on how fast he can get the thing. So I threw it again as he went after it and retrieved it without another minute.

I chuckled when he tilted his head cutely. Why are they so cute! I grabbed his head and kiss him just like what I did on Reed's face. I smiled when his eyes softened. He then lied down on the ground to sleep again.

I laughed a little when I look at my two cats whose glaring at the two dogs. Ean's eyes was full of jealousy as well as Matthew.

"Ooohh..Jealous. As far as I know, cats don't play fetch, right?" I said, mocking them.

Matthew hissed and snobbed me.

I chuckled and grabbed Ean before planting a soft kiss on his forehead and nuzzling his nose. I giggled and lied down on the cold green grass, liking the feeling with Ean on my stomach and Jiro on my left while Reed was playing with the other dogs he met.

I looked at Matthew who's currently looking off at some space as an idea pop on my mind. An evil grin slowly etched on my face. I leaned slowly to him and gently blew at his ears, making his hairs on the back stand as he let out a frightened scream.

I laughed at his reaction and grabbed his head while he hissed at my touch.

"I-Im so sorry!" I said between my laughs. He looked at the other direction and meowed softly. I smiled and kissed his head before getting up.

"It's getting dark. I think we better get back now."

I grabbed the leash and tied it on Reed and Jiro's collars while the two cats were beside them. When we arrived, I saw Jace examining my house while leaning on his expensive shiny car.  Then I remembered that I have a meeting with him in science.

I already told him that my house was off limit, but he insisted so I let him.

"Jace."

He looked towards me and gave me a cool smile.

"Hey Threne."

Before my pets could react, I opened the door and dragged them towards my room and locked it.

"Come inside, Jace. I'm just going to fetch the materials."

He nodded, giving me his infamous smirk. Actually, he is one of the famous guys in our school like Alex. He's handsome and considered as one of the richest guy in school. Girls would literally throw theirselves to him.

Well,not me.

After I finished gathering the materials, I went back to his side and started explaining on what we are going to do and good thing, he listened attentively.

Though his stares really bothered me. I looked at him as his smirk widened.

"Could you please stop that?"

"What?"

"Staring."

He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders then looked at our project.

Good.

When we're finally done, I felt an arm slip through my shoulder. I stiffined when I felt his hot mint breath fan over my neck.

"You know after this, we can have fun. What do you think?"

I felt my body shaken a little, but I won't let him intimidate me.

"No, thank you."

I tried to pry off his hands but unfortunately, it tightened around my neck. I gulped when I felt his other hand rub my thighs.

Fudge!

I curled my fist and directed it into his face, but he dodge it with ease, resulting him to pin me on the ground.

"Let me go, you asshole!"

"Can't do that,babe. C'mon, I know you want this. You're just shy."

Shy, my ass, you son of a --

Okay, that's too much.

I began thrashing around him, but I felt a sharp metal point on my neck. When I opened my eyes, I almost pee on my pants.

He had a knife for pete's sake!

"Now, behave. I'm sure you'll love this."

I trembled and felt tears brimming from the corners of my eyes.

I hate myself for not being able to fight back. But I really can't.

I'm afraid.

I began to whimper when I felt his disgusting lips on my neck and prayed that my pets will save me. No, they can't. They're locked up.

I almost lost all hope, but it sprinkled back in my chest when I heard a very nasty growl of two angry dogs and tremendous hisses of two cats.

Jace removed himself from me but before he could look at the source of the sounds, he was being pounced by them. I crawled away from the scene as I'm still shivering with fear. Jace quickly got on his feet and leave.

They quickly gone to my aid and licked my tears. My tears spilled more as I gave them a tight embrace.

"Thank you! I'm sorry if I lock you and I didn't know how you got out, but I'm very thankful that you save me from him. I don't know what will happen if you are not here."

My crying began to halt as Reed grabbed my shirt and led me to my room. I lied on the bed as they jumped beside me and snuggled on their warm bodies.

"Thank you for being here," I mumbled before slowly drifting to sleep out of exhaustion and nonchalance.

And I didn't know if I'm now in the dreamland, but I felt arms encircled my waist and a soft whisper on my ear.
