Chapter 14: Love letter?! Friend!?

*Lucas continued to pull Uma by the arm until they got out side and finally stopped outside on the football filed*

Uma-"Come on Lucas, why are we here?"

Lucas-"I just now realized that you have never seen a football game so you probably never played football!"

Uma-"uhh yes I have, I played it all the time."

Lucas-"oh good, so then suit up" ( me handed her a helmet and the shoulder gear)

Uma-"Suit up? Why do I have to suit up?" ( me spoke softly to herself then put the gear on that Lucas told her to wear and met him back in the field)

Lucas-"okay you ready?"(he looked at her and saw her gear messed up)

Uma-"Ready for what? I look like some type of wrestler with a weird looking ball."

Lucas-"yeah it's called a football, and I thought you said you played it before."

Uma-"I have. But the ball is round and you don't have to wear this ridiculous outfit and you kick the ball you don't catch it or throw it."

Lucas-"okay, that's called soccer in the U.S. here this is what we call football. (he grabs the football from her) Here go long!"

Uma-"Go what now?!"

Lucas-"It means...(she looked so confused) You know what I'll just throw you the ball, and you catch it. Okay"

Uma-"whatever" (he runs for about 10 seconds then throws the ball at her and she's catches it)

Lucas-"woah! Way to go! Okay throw it back! (Uma looks at the ball and unexpectedly throws it perfectly towards Lucas some other guys came on the field for practice but instead they watched the two of them play for a while) Okay, now we are going to try tackling! You ready!"

Uma-"we're going to try what?(she whispered to herself. Lucas threw the ball and began to run and Uma caught the ball not noticing that Lucas was charging towards her until it was too late) ahhh!" (she yelled)

The other guys-"OOoooo!"

Uma-"haha, oh my, haha"

Lucas-"okay I think you officially lost it, I just tackled you." (he said laying down next to her on the grass)

Uma-"Yeah but it was a fun tackle. And by the way... Lucas... Your such a jerk." (she got up and he followed and also took off there helmets)

Luke-"hey isn't that Lucas, David?

David-"yeah I think so, I didn't know he had a girl."

Eddie-"yeah man, (he looked at everyone) we should go introduce ourselves."

David-"yeah come on!" (David and the other guys followed him onto the field)

Lucas-"What!" (he reacted to Uma's last statement)

Uma-"I'm just joking." (she chuckled)

Lucas-"good" (he leaned in for a kiss and this would have been there first kiss if it actually happened. It was interrupted by David and the guys)

David-"hey man what's up?"(he puts his hand out)

Lucas-"nothing much just living life, you know? How about you?"

David-"nothing really, we all just came to practice until we saw you playing with her."

Eddie-"who is she by the way?"

Luke-"way to play it cool."(he smacks him in the back if his head)

Lucas-"oh sorry guys, this is my... Friend Uma."(he put one hand on each of her shoulders)

Uma-"friend?!" (she looked at him confused but mad)

Lucas-"uhh-hh" (he kept looking back and forth at Una then the guys)

Eddie-"hey nice to meet you."

Luke and David-"yeah nice to meet you." (Uma still looked mad)

David-"hey I noticed your arm and how you took that tackle. Maybe you could play with us sometime."

Uma-"You know I would, but I'm just a FRIEND. (she looked at David) I wouldn't want to intrude."(she took last look at Lucas then began to take off pieces if the uniform as she walked off the field)

*Uma had finally gotten home. And her mom was worried sick. She was waiting for over an hour for her and she apologize and promised it wouldn't happen again. Then night went by really fast. It's now lunch time and Raven grabbed Harry and they both went to Ms.Denby's class to fell her in in the plan."

Ms.Denby-"So let me get this straight, you want me to write Lucas a love letter and pretend I found it then give it to him."

Raven-"yes, but Uma has to be sitting next to him."

Harry-"and make sure the letter is good and not like your normal stupid love stuff. (she gave him a mean stare) Sorry."

Ms.Denby-"fine, I'll do it."

Raven-"Good!" (she flips her hair and starts to walk out and Harry followed. Time went by fast and they finally got to Ms.Denby's class. Everyone was in there seats and were writing a paper)

Ms.Denby-(she was sitting at her desk finishing the love letter then folding the paper and dropping it in the ground. She stood up and spoke to the class) "okay class you have 30 minutes left. (she looked down ) What's this? (she bent down and grabbed the letter and opened it) It seem to be a love letter, for you Mr.Sky."

Lucas-"For me?!" (he spoke with excitement and curiosity. She handed him the letter and he began to read it until it caught Uma's attention)

Uma-"A love letter?" (she spoke with jealousy and anger)

Lucas-"I'm guessing from that reaction its not from you" (he said with such disappointment but also a little attitude. Uma finished reading it and then wrinkled the paper and through it on the ground. After class Uma blew off some steam and the meet Lucas at his locker.)

Uma-"hey"

Lucas-"hey" (he said shocked that she talked to him)

Uma-"Look I may have over exaggerated a little bit about you calling me your friend and not your girl friend. I guess I just thought since we've been dating for 7 months now we could at least call ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend."

Lucas-"It's okay, but this one was on me. I shouldn't have told the guys that we were just friends. Your my girlfriend, and I'm proud of it." (they hug each other and made up. Lucas opened his locker to get this jacket then a prices of crumbled paper falls out of his locker. Uma bends down and looks at the paper and realizes that it's the love letter that she crumpled up and throw on the floor.)

Uma-"You kept it?!!?"(she made a disguised face)

Lucas-"No wait....how? (she throw the paper at him and walked away quickly. Ms.Denby starred at Lucas from a distance and watched the two fight) Uma!"
