chapter 21: who's that voice?

Uma-"well... Ahh"

Mr.Jason-"haha I got you. (he said laughing then pointing) you were actually going to pick one(he calmed down and cough to bring him back to a professional state) sorry, sorry. Well you can just let Me know by Friday if you'll do it okay. "

Uma-"Thanks mr.Jason. I appreciate it"

Mr.Jason-"yeah off course, just promise me you'll really think about it. I would really like you to sing."

Uma-"okay Will do mr.Jason."( she smiled and went to Joy)

Joy-"What was that about?"

Uma-"Mr.Jason wants me to sing at the dance."

Joy-"and?"

Uma-"and what?"

Joy-"what did you say?"

Uma-" didn't answer I started getting all panicky and then he said I had till Friday to give him an answer."

Joy-"Well you have to do it."

Uma-"What! No I don't."

Joy-"Come on you have an amazing voice Uma. And you would really make my night perfect."

Uma-"I don't know Joy."

Joy-"Hey it's okay to be afraid. Just don't be afraid forever or your voice will never be heard. And your voice is to special not to be heard."

Uma-"thanks Joy, but I really have to think About this one. I mean I barley wanted to go, and if I agree to sing I have to go."

Joy-"Well then I won't bother you about it anymore, now come help with the rest of the decorations. "

Uma-"okay."(she chuckled and they went back to there seat)

Raven-"Harry did you see that? Why did Uma get pulled behind the current?"

Harry-"I don't know, can we please just focus on the task."

Raven-"No!" (she hits him behind the head)

Harry-"Ouch. That hurt"

Raven- "well I'm sorry I just really want to know now"

Harry-"Then go ask her"

Raven-"Harry, I don't like her, and she does not like me. But you get along with the both of them." (she began to make puppy eyes)

Harry-"Fine! I'll ask." (he starts walking towards Uma and Joy when he was interrupted by a fellow classmate named Amber. She's not the brightest but she sure knows her fashion)

Amber- "Harry!"

Harry-"Oh uh hi Amber"(he tried to get around but she moved the same way he did so he didn't escape)

Amber-"I need your help"

Harry-(he sounds anxiously scared, distracted and looking at Uma) Uhhh, with what Amber?"

Amber- "I can't figure out why the light's won't go on."

Harry-"did you plug them in?"

Amber- "of course I did Harry, I'm blond not stupid."

Harry-(he finally looks her in the eyes) "Did you try changing the light bolts?"

Amber-"For all these lights?! (she held up the whole pack of lights) Honestly Harry sometimes I wonder if I'm the stupid one." (she began to walk away)

Harry-"what? (he said confused then got back to his mission and walked toward Uma) Hey Uma (He looked in the eye, then looked at Joy) Hey Joy"

Joy and Uma-"Hey" (there both into there work)

Harry-(he looked back at raven and after seeing her already looking at him with a serious stare he began to speak) "Hey are you okay,(Uma looked up) I saw that you were called on to the stage."

Uma-"Oh yeah everything's fine" (she smiled and kind of laughed)

Harry-"Then why did Mr.Jason call you?"

Uma-"Uhhhh.... He said something along the lines of asking me if I could sing at the dance." (she said concentrating more on the task)

Harry-"What did you say?"

Uma-"Joy run this to the Mr.Jason, this are some more supplies' that we need" (she handed her a note )

Joy-"Okay, see you around Harry(she walked away)

Uma-"I'm sorry Harry (she took a break from her work) what was it that you asked?"

Harry-"Oh no that's simply fine, I asked what was it that you said?"

Uma-"What was it that I said about what?"

Harry-(realizing she wasn't paying very close attention to the conversation) "About the singing thing. Are you going to do it?"

Uma- "oh right, I told him I'm not sure. That I had to think about and I have till Friday to give him an answer."

Harry-"Oh okay, well bye"

Uma-"wow, wow, wow, wait! That was it? You stopped me just to see what happened behind a current and if I said an answer to the singing thing"

Harry-"Yeah that was kind of it,unless you wanted to talk about something else"

Uma-"no, I mean, I just wasn't expecting that."

Harry-"Oh, okay well I have to go my partner (he said pointing to Raven) is flagging me down l, telling me to go over there.

Uma-(she looked back at Raven then turned back to Harry) "oh so your Majesty awaits"(she chuckled)

Harry-"yeah, kind of like that I guess" (he struck his hair back with his hand)

Uma-"Well hey, I'm not going to stop you, have fun."

Harry-"Thanks, bye Uma" (he waved bye)

Uma-"Bye Harry." (she felt sorry for him, but she couldn't do much about it so she got back to work waiting for Joy to come back)

*Joy went looking for Mr.Jason to give him the note but on her way she heard something coming from the band room. It sounded like a guitar. She walked toward the door and opened it slightly so she could see who it was. She didn't see anybody, she only heard a guitar that followed a voice singing.*
