chapter 22: Who asked her?!

*after listening to this mystery guy sing Joy walks in slowly, but she couldn't see the guy's face. All she saw was the back of his head. Her plan was to confront him until she accidentally dropped some paper and went down and ducked behind the upright piano. The guy heard the papers fall he put on his hoodie and immediately took his songs and left out the nearest door. Joy stood back up after hearing the door shut. She walked to the seat where he was sitting and underneath it was a music sheet filled with lyrics. She read one or two lines and feel in love with the song. She remembered she had to get this note to Mr.Jason so she took the lyrics with her and found Mr.Jason after about 5 minutes of talking to Mr.Jason, Joy ran back to Uma and ran with excitement.*

Joy-"Uma!"

Uma-"Joy where have you been?! I've been doing all this work by myself for 10 minutes"

Joy-"Okay, okay I'm sorry, but look I have a good reason. I was looking for Mr.Jason when I heard the guitar, and you know guitar players just steal my heart."

Uma-"They do, they really do" (she said thinking about it and knowing it)

Joy-"Anyway so this guy not only played the guitar but he sang." (she started to get a bit to excited)

Uma-"Okay, who was it?"

Joy-"Oh but see that's the whole problem (she said disappointed) I never actually saw his face or caught his name."

Uma-"What!"

Joy-"I know right, but I don't know I felt like I knew him but I couldn't confront him. I got nervous, and I don't get nervous easily."

Uma-"Yeah you usually go straight for the guy, somethings wrong."

Joy-"That's what I was thinking...( silence was in the air for a moment till Joy remembered the music sheet) oh Uma, look at this. This song I feel like it was meant for me. Like the lyrics are so beautifully written and I don't know I can't help but feel like they were meant for me."

Uma-" Wow don't get ahead of yourself there Juliet. You don't even know the guy, and he may not know you. It's a big school and lots of talented people."

Joy-"Yes but I can still dream."

Uma-"You do that. But while your doing that take these boxes over there." (she grinned)

Joy-"Fine"

*The class period was over and 8th period came and people are starting to go to there lockers and gather there things to leave. Joy and Jerome and started talking to each other about the dance. Joy now need to know which eye shadow to wear. Jerome stops her as fast as he could and told Joy he need to go to his locker. Joy turned around started to walk back towards her locker where she bumps into Lucas and drops her things. She bends down before even knowing who she bumped into to get her things.*

Lucas-"Oh I'm sorry Joy ( she looks up with some piece of hair in her mouth) I didn't mean it." ( knee removes the piece of hair from her mouth still gathering her things.)

Joy-"That's alright Lucas, I know you didn't mean it."

Lucas-"I feel bad(he bends down) here let me help you."( he grabbed to books then handed them to her)

Joy-"Thank you"(he stood up then offered her a hand to help her up)

Lucas-( Theres was an awkward moment where they didn't speak for a while) "well..."

Joy-"well...this was nice"( she smiled and forced a laugh out)

Lucas-"yeah..(joy started walking away) hey wait!"

Joy-(she looked back) "yeah?"

Lucas-(He got all serious) "Ahh, How is she?"

Joy-(Joy caught his concern for Uma) "She's doing fine."

Lucas-"I'm glad to hear so. How is she doing about the me and Raven dance thing?"

Joy-"Lucas you know I can't tell you..."

Lucas-"Please, please Joy, your my only way of knowing if She's okay." (he looked her in the eyes)

Joy-"Fine She's still a little heart broken that your going to the dance with Raven and not her, but it's alright, Jerome asked her and she said yes, so there going together"

Lucas-"I'm sorry who asked her?"

Joy-"Jerome"

Lucas-"Jerome asked Uma?!"

Joy-"Yup"

Lucas-"And she said yes?"

Joy-"That is what I said"

Lucas-"Oh okay, ah do you know where he's at?"

Joy-(she was almost unsure if she should tell him) "By.. his.. locker...Why?"

Lucas-"Ah, no reason, but hey it was nice talking to you but I have to go."

Joy-"Yeah no problem (she felt as if she should not have told him about Jerome asking Uma) I'll see you around."

Lucas-"Yeah, bye" (he quickly began walking quickly as if he had some where to be. Raven over heard everything. And texted Harry who was with Uma)

Raven-"Hi" (she texted to Harry's phone)

Harry-"Hey, what's up?" (he answered back)

Raven-"Are you with Uma?"

Harry-" yeah, why?"

Raven-"Tell her Lucas is about to beat up Jerome for asking her to the dance"

Harry-"What really?!"

Raven-"Now tell her!" (End of phone chat)

Harry-"ahh... Ah, Uma?!"

Uma-"yeah?"

Harry-"I don't know how to tell you this but...."(he stops himself)

Uma-"Just tell me." (she placed her hand on his shoulder)

Harry-(he feels a connection between him and Uma and then forgets the consequences of what might happen and he just speaks really fast) " Lucas is about to beat up Jerome for asking you to the dance." (he got a text from Raven m saying "by Jerome' locker")

Uma-"Omg where?"

Harry-"By Jerome' locker" (He comes back to reality and starts talking normal again)

Uma-"I'm sorry i have to go make sure Jerome' okay. I have to..." (she started to back up and walk in the direction of Jerome' locker)

Harry-"oh go ahead that's fine."

Uma-"Thank you but we can definitely reschedule later."

Harry-"Oh this is changing everything tonight plan."

Uma-"Yeah, but hey wait, I can get you help. I'll text you later, I'm sorry Harry I really have to go if what you said is true."

Harry-"It's okay, just text me and let me know if everything's okay."

Uma-"Okay, bye" (she ran knowing she was on the other side of the building and 2 floors up.)

Lucas-(He see' Jerome by his locker and starts to walk toward him) "Hey Jerome!"(he yelled from across the hall)

*Jerome and Lucas make intense eye exchanges. And Uma is running as fast as she can to stop the fight that's about to happen. Harry took the elevator down so he could get to Raven quicker. Raven and Harry both meet up near Jerome' locker to watch it all and Joy is by her locker where she is unaware of everything that's happening and she receives a mystery note that fell when she opened her locker.*
