Chi rushed into the creepy rooms to find Yui at the other end of the hall on the floor with Ayato standing over her. Kanato's words relayed through her mind. He really wanted her to kill his brothers to prove that she loved him? Did she love him? Whether the answer to that question was yes or no was unclear to Chi but she did know that either way she couldn't bring herself to murder Ayato and Laito. Not if they provided no danger to Yui, but then again they were vampires and Ayato had a strange obsession with Yui. In a way that did provide a large threat. Chi ran to her sister and watched as Ayato silently walked away.

"Yui are you aright?" Yui ran a hand along her neck which had slight bruising on it where Kanato had tried to strangle her to death.

"Yeah I'm alright."

"I'm sorry Yui this is my fault."

"How is it your fault?"

"Because Kanato does this to punish me. He hates it when one of the others drink my blood, he punished me for it but he said that it wasn't working. That's why he drank your blood yesterday in the grave yard and why he just nearly killed you."

"Ayato's gets possessive too sometimes so I get it but this is not your fault." Chi stayed silent and looked at the ground. "What did he do to punish you?" Chi's eyes widened as she looked up at her sister.

"Nothing really..."

"Chi tell me what happened." Chi was reluctant but she knew that Yui wouldn't drop the subject until she knew. Chi reached for her top and took off her jacket. She lowered her school shirt so that the stab wound in her arm was now visible. It had healed a lot but it still had a long way to go. Yui gasped when she saw it.

"It happened on the first day we got here. After school finished I came to look for you in your room but you weren't there and Ayato was. He told me you were in the bath but he was thirsty so he drank my blood. Kanato found out and took me to a torture room. He stabbed me with this thing and then left me bleeding out on the floor for hours. Eventually though he came back when everyone else had gone to bed."

"Chi that's awful you have to stay away from him..."

"No." Said Chi cutting her off. "I-I don't want to stay away from him."

"But Chi he nearly killed you."

"Of course he did, he's a vampire."

"Don't tell me...that your developing feeling for him."

"I-I don't know but I can't leave him alone. I can't stay away from him, it just wouldn't feel right. I can take care of myself." Yui reached into her back pocket and pulled out a familiar silver knife.

"I think that you really do need this more than I do."

"No I don't. I told you I wanted you to have that."

"Yes but you've got a vampire that really will kill you. Your at more of a danger from him than I am."

"Kanato's not dangerous...well he is but as long as he is happy then he can be...really sweet." There was silence. "We should go." Said Chi after a little while. Yui put the knife away and the two left the creepy doll place...

"If you stay here you will die." Said the voice of Subaru as they climbed the steps into the house. Chi and Yui stopped moving and looked at him.

"It's not like we have much of a chose." Chi said as Yui moved in closer to her, seeking comfort.

"Leave now, it might be your only chance."

"You sure you won't kill us if we do?" Chi said.

"No, I just want you to leave." He said sitting on the windowsill. Chi looked down at Yui and the two moved towards their bedrooms. They packed fast, both in Yui's room. Chi rushed around grabbing the stuff she had left lying around. They still had to pack her suitcase but Chi wasn't so bothered about her own stuff. She just wanted to get Yui packed, if worse came to worse then she would make Yui leave without her. Subaru was right, this might be the only chance they have to escape. Chi turned around to see Yui sat on the bed next to the suitcase.

"Yui what are you doing? We don't have time for this." She moved around the bed and saw that Yui had the photograph of her and her Father in her hands. Chi had her photo in her back pocket. She always carried it around with her. She would look at it when she was alone, try to work this whole thing out but she still came up with a blank.

"Chi we can't leave, not until we know the truth. These people have some kind of connection to Father and they might have the answer we need." Chi sighed knowing that she was right.

"Guess we should go and tell Subaru then." She said as Yui nodded and the two left the room they walked back to the room they had last seen Subaru in. He was still there, sat on the windowsill looking up at the moon.

"You've wasted a rare opportunity." He said. Yui and Chi walked further into the room.

"Subaru if you know anything about our Father or why we are here please tell us." Said Yui. Subaru sighed and stood up.

"I know nothing of your situation." He looked over at Chi. "Did you give it to her?"

"I did." She responded but it was clear from the look on her face that she hadn't told Yui about the agreement the two came to. Yui pulled the knife from her back pocket to show him that she had it.

"Alright well if your going to stay here then don't be afraid to use it to protect yourself."

"But how could you say that? You'r telling me that it's okay for us to kill your bothers." Said Yui. Subaru looked angry at her words.

"Tch, we might share the same Father but that is the only thing that links me with them and I don't consider them brothers. They are nothing to me, kill them all you would be doing me a favour." He said as he walked past them and out of the door.

"I really don't understand how they can think like that " said Yui quietly.

"I don't either. I mean they are really brothers, even if most of them are only half brothers and they all want each other dead. Where as you and I are not related at all and yet I think of you as my sister and would give the world to keep you safe." Chi responded making Yui smile.

"We should probably go and unpack now. If they find out that we were planning to leave we might be in trouble." Chi nodded.

"Yeah probably..."
