I decided I would make a song for you when July came and rolled around. And, as corny as it was, I still loved what I had made.
Even if it hadn't entirely been an original song (because, as much as I enjoyed poems and lyrics and all that, I was never one to be able to think up of a good tune to accompany what I wrote) and had been based off from Taylor Swift's I'd Lie, I still thought it a good song.
I don't think that wooden seat
Has ever looked this good to me
His eyes that had looked like ice
Has melted as it looks through mineI think I fell in like
As fast as he runs his fingers through his hair
I'm dreaming and I'm hoping nowAnd I don't think it ever crossed his mind
He cracks a joke
I give a smile
And I hope I deserve a chanceAnd I can tell you
His name starts with a P
He loves to argue
Born on the 25thHis face is so beautiful
He has his mother's eyes
And if you ask me if I like him
I'd lieAnd as I went ahead and finished the rest of the song, a hope blossomed in me. That someday, somehow, I could finally confess my feelings for you.
The only question was, How?
