After concluding the troublesome Lords' meeting, time passed swiftly. A week had gone by since the successful conclusion of that meeting.

To avoid any further complications, Roy did not appear at the Clock Tower again; instead, he entrusted everything to Kayneth, Eulyphis, and Marisbury.

In return, he had transferred the so-called legitimate orthodox status to them, leaving the remaining benefits to be negotiated among themselves.

Thus, during this week, the three Lords were extraordinarily busy.

They were constantly occupied with gathering more resources for themselves. Working late into the night, they negotiated with other Lord factions to extract as many usable resources as possible from them, experiencing a mix of pain and joy.

As for disputes over distribution, aside from a minor disagreement between Kayneth and Eulyphis regarding the allocation of certain magical treasures, Marisbury, the outsider, had no differences with them at all.

He was very pragmatic... pragmatic to the point of disbelief.

He only wanted money.

No matter how many resources he secured from other factions or the Mage's Association, Marisbury didn't care; even if presented with a pair of gold rank mystic eyes, he would remain indifferent.

What he wanted wasn't magical materials or valuable magical knowledge, or even a division of power; he simply wanted the most straightforward thing... money.

And the more, the better. As for the share of magical resources he was supposed to receive, he was willing to let the other two take whatever they wanted.

As long as they were willing to pay, anything could be negotiated.

This behavior left Kayneth and Eulyphis puzzled over his strange actions.

Is money really that important for magus? As long as one has a stable family background and capital to slowly circulate, isn't it enough to earn what one needs? What's with this crazy fundraising? Is the Department of Astromancy really that poor?

Although they didn't understand, they didn't probe further; after all, only they would benefit from such a lucrative deal, so they immediately transferred money into Marisbury's account in exchange for more resources.

In short, the distribution of spoils was very harmonious, based on mutual consent.

Kayneth and Eulyphis primarily took away a lot of magical materials and resources, while Marisbury pocketed most of the money and assets. The three operated independently, without interfering with one another.

As for other Lords or factions that wanted to introduce themselves to the Magician of the Third Magic faction, they would accept gifts and simply respond, "Next time for sure."

Then, they would quickly return to splitting the spoils, tossing the letters into a corner as if they hadn't seen them.

When they were asked later, they would use the excuse that the Magician of the Third Magic, was incredibly busy and didn't have time to pay attention to them; they would say he would reply when he saw the message to brush them off.

What a joke; did they really think everyone was as idle as they were?

The Magician of the Third Magic was a busy person, occupied with countless matters every day; he wouldn't have the time to deal with them. Moreover, it was already difficult enough to have the magus's attention focused on them; why add more trouble for him?

As for worldly matters, the three of them were sufficient; anyone else wishing to share in the spoils could only be said to be thinking too much.

It could only be said that during the trial, there was such fervor, but now there was only envy.
