Everyday was a new day and every new day came with its new problems and issues that need to be resolved. I lived in Gotham and worked at the Zoo as a Zoologist specializing in both feline and canine cases. I have loved animals all my life. My best friend is my fur-baby, named (a/n), which is a dog/cat. I try to make human friends, but it is hard when you can hear animals talk and get it confused with people talking. I have learned to live in the solemn knowledge that not everyone can hear what animals are saying. I do have to say most animals keep to themselves just like I do and that is why I get along with them so much, however I do have to say that birds are the worst to work with and listen to since they have no idea of volume control with their chirps/screeches. I still helped birds when they are not being mean to me when I only want to help. They kid of remind me of a guys that I knew in High school that was rough around the edges and was very stand-off-ish in attitude. He was loud and didn't know when to stop, but he did stand up to people being bullied. We were in the same grade, but he never noticed me since I was always quiet and faded in the background of the high school scene. A sigh escaped me while I brushed (a/n).

'You know if you don't say anything nothing is going to happen? How am I supposed to help make something better if you don't tell me what is wrong?' Said (a/n) in huffs.

"I know buddy, and you can never do anything wrong since you are prefect!"

'If I am perfect, why are you sighing?'

"Oh, just a memory of a regret from high school, you remember how depressing I was back then."

'i remember, but that still doesn't make sense. I thought you enjoyed your high school "experience" since that is what you say all the time. Was that a lie?'

"Well, not entirely. I did enjoy my high school years, but life keeps going and I never got to experience love or having a boyfriend. Every time someone would get close they would freak out about me being able to talk and know what animals say. That made me very isolated and lonely."

'That is why I told you in high school to strut your stuff so you can find your partner.'

"(A/n), that is not how that works. I have explained this to you several times already." I sighed. "Now that I am dressed for the day, want to go for a walk around the town and pick up gossip?" I asked while grabbing the leash from the front door of my very modest and cozy apartment. The taps of paws on the hard wood floor could be heard as (a/n) came to the door to be hooked up.

'I could never say no to a walk and local gossip. Did I tell you about the latest gossip of who Batman is? Those squirrels are so dumb, there is no way Batman is Bruce Wayne!' (A/n) said as we started out on our Saturday walk. We walk a lot on the weekends to help me decompress from dealing with fussy patients that are animals. I question why I work with animals if they act just like humans. I hum a response since there are people around me on the sidewalk doing or going to whatever they needed to do. Once it was less crowded I turned my attention back to (a/n) as they looked around the area to see if there was any new scents.
