Jason's P.O.V.

(Y/n) wanted to go home after the crazy day she had which is perfectly reasonable, but the way she just quietly asked and wasn't freaking out after everything has me scratching my head. She isn't freaking out or stressing out about anything. If anything she looks just plain tired. "You sure you are okay?" I asked. She nodded her head and continued to look at my chest as if my eyes don't exist. "Alright. Let's get you home, then." I grumbled out.

"(Y/N)! Are you okay?" Poison Ivy yelled from across the street as she and Harley were running at me. I looked at the Doctor, which I now know is (Y/n), grab her hand and start running away from the crazy women chasing us. I have no idea what the hell she did to them but since she is civilian she needs to be protected. Especially since Bruce has an interesting in her and her safety. 

"Wait! Please, stop!" She quietly protested behind me.

"You are in danger, we need to get you to safety." I stated while we moved to the next street. In the distance I heard both Harley and Poison Ivy calling for her.

"They are my friends. I was helping them." She said so quietly that I had an issue hearing her over the breeze of the wind. I stopped suddenly and she ran into my back. I turned and grabbed her small shoulder with both hands.

"What do you mean you were helping them?" I asked looking at here in the eyes through my helmet.

"Pam was taking care of a puma and was worried that it was sick, while Harleen's hyena ate some plants that gave them indigestion. I love animals since they are easier than people. And I. And I wanted to help them since they. Well, they seemed like sweet people who also care. Care about animals like me. And. And." I stuttered out as she started by looking at me in the eyes and slowly started to look away like she was nervous around me. I was stunned that she was able to make friends with those two as they technically speaking were on a higher IQ and not social. I looked at this small women in disbelief and awe. She was as skittish as a bunny or a deer. 

"Harley! I found her! Over here! She is with Red Hood. She is in danger!" Poison Ivy yelled as she released her powers and threw seeds ahead of her and had then grow into plants that were vines. They shot out from the seeds and stretched to us or more like me since they thought I was going to hurt (Y/n). Harley came around another corner with her hammer and charged at us. (Y/n) froze in her spot, trying to get as small and be as unnoticeable as possible to not get hurt. I could tell this woman doesn't have a controversial bone in her body. I squatted down slightly and wrapped an arm around her waist and jumped out of the way of Harley's hammer. It slammed inot the ground and broken the cement. 

"Whoa, now! I think we are having a misunderstanding!" I said as I kept dodging Ivy's vines and Harley's hammer.

"No, we don't. You took our friend and plan on hurting her. Let her go!" Harley said as she tried to grab (Y/n)'s hand that somehow gently wrapped around my neck. Her grasp reminded me like a whisper of wind brushing by me. No one has ever touched me this lightly. I was so enraptured by this woman that I didn't notice that Poison Ivy's vines wrap around my legs and pulled them together. To regain my balance I instinctively dropped (Y/n). I don't think either of us were expecting that as I threw both my arms back to catch myself as she released a little squeak in surprise. I fell backwards onto the ground as Poison Ivy's vines wrapped around me quite quickly. It wasn't until a moment later I felt (Y/n) stumble and land on me did I look down at her. Harley scrambled over to the fallen girl and picked her up with much ease and set her on her feet. Harley was fussing over (Y/n) light a mother hen while Ivy walked over with her hand extended to keep the vines tightly wrapped around me.
