Chapter 7- The Inccident

Percy's P.O.V

Beep...Beep...Beep was the sound that was illuminating the white room I was in.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't the one hooked up to the machine. It was Chiron.

Flashback

I was waiting for Peter and got a voicemail, "Sorry I can't come over tonight something came up, can we reschedule for tomorrow?"

I left a voicemail back telling him that was fine and left my room. Chiron was in the library and was reading a book, "Wanna go out for ice-cream?" I suggested

"What about you study session?" Chiron asked taking reading glasses off and bookmarking his page.

"Something came up." I said with a shrug, "So you in for ice-cream?"

Chiron smiled, "Come, let's get some ice-cream."

Instead of diving somewhere with ice-cream were just started walking toward the park that had an ice-cream parlor nearby.

It was only after we got our ice-cream and started to walk home that we didn't notice the car coming down to road.

It was too late and the car hit us, but it hit Chiron more and because the car was small Chiron flew into the windshield while I only skimmed the car on the side not injuring me that bad.

The car instantly stopped a fellow looking like he was getting ready to party or something got out of the car with a cell-phone already dialing a number.

I moved over to Chiron ignoring the slight pain that it cause and held his hand while the man dialed for an ambulance.

I expected the man to bolt seeing how he hit a person but he was one of the few that stayed and waited for the ambulance and the police because it was the right thing to do.

The paramedics tried to take a look at me but I demanded them to look at Chiron first. I told them that when I was in the hospital knowing Chiron was safe that I would get checked out.

They were reluctant but I had determination in my eyes and they quickly helped Chiron into the ambulance starting to take off to the nearest hospital.

The medics rushed into the entrance of the hospital nurses and doctors coming over to Chiron and taking in his injuries.

After getting checked out briefly and telling me that it will only last a few weeks and I was fine I was sent to the waiting area and started pacing, Leo came by and sat in the chair watching me pace.

"He's going to be alright." Leo said

"How do you know that." I snapped feeling agitated and tired.

"He's Chiron." Leo supplied and that made me stop and slump into the seat next to Leo, "I can't loose another person." I said closing my eyes.

"And you wont." Leo said, "Get some sleep, you're going to need it if you want Chiron to see you when he wakes up not drooling on your shirt as you are passed out."

I sighed and took his advice and got some sleep.

Flashback Over

It was the next morning when they said I could sit with Chiron, I had Leo deliver my homework and the next couple of days to Principal Coulson.

Now I was watching TV hearing the beep and waiting for Chiron to wake up. Normally my ADHD would've acted up by now but the only thing I wanted was for Chiron to wake up from the small coman he was in, they said he should wake in a few days.

I sighed and barely looked at the article pages as I flicked through them but stopped as Leo came in and handed me the newspaper.

"You guys made head page." Was all he said and he was right.

There was a picture of Chiron on the ground and me holding his hand while hoping he would get up and the driver on the cell-phone.

The front page read, "Olympus Enterprises Manager in Small Coma!"

"Who's handling the press?" I asked

"Right now, the CEO of Stark Industries, Pepper is handling them for now as a favor to us but you are going to have to go out there at some point and tell the story." Leo said

I sighed, "Schedule a press conference for 10 A.M. That gives me 2 hours to get prepare what I'm going to say."

"Are you sure that's the best idea?" Leo asked

"I want to get it over with." I said with a sigh

"I understand." Leo said placing a hand on my shoulder then left a bit afterward.

"Chiron please wake up." I muttered and got ready for what I was going to be saying.
