The Last Heiress

Chapter 7

 I trained  five days and i had passed all but one test. the one i dreaded the most.

Fighting hand to hand. i couldn't hurt my opponent and so i have failed so far

"You are useless Eadiline. how can i get you to fight" Foxie asked pacing across a tightrope as if it were the floor. i sat down next to the wall running my hand over the leggings, belt and shirt that Foxie gave me instead of the dress that was in mostly tatters.

"Eadiline i challenge you" Damon said standing above me

"Damon i don't want to fight" I said giving up

"I am ReBecca a fifteen year old Queen, i took the throne from my uncle and killed his family all except Eadiline. she was a wimp and is hiding in the kingdom. i will rid the kingdom of her and then rule expanding my kingdom until i am the Empress of the world" Damon taunted

I clenched my fist and stood up "you killed my family, and will destroy my kingdom. I won't have it!" i said getting up and charging at Damon imagining him as ReBecca. i punched, dodged and kicked using every trick i knew and took Damon down in 2 minutes. once i took a deep breath i looked at him "oh my gosh..." i almost said i'm sorry but i ended "i did it"

"great job Eadiline, but you gotta beat me." Foxie said jumping down landing in front of me as Damon got up and stumbled out of the room

"ok" I said not as afraid to fight.

I attacked the same pattern for a few minutes then attacked when i knew it would hit her and hurt. it worked but Foxie got up knocking me to the ground. i rolled over dodging an attack and then i jumped up made a fake punch and i kicked her leg in the back making her fall. i then grabbed a rope and tied her up quick enough she couldn't stop me.

"hey!" she said all angry

"what? bummed out at being beat up by a princess?" i asked

"a Princess?" someone behind me said. i turned to see 3 guys and a girl standing behind me. I realized the Hey was for them

"You aren't allowed in here" Foxie said biting the rope off with her fangs and standing in front of me with her hand on her cocked hip

"oh ya? well we are now" one of the boys said

"You do what she says or face the consequences" Tigress said jumping down from the tightrope Foxie had been pacing earlier next to Foxie.

"oh and what are those?" another boy said

"Want to find out?" Damon asked standing on the other side of Foxie from Tigress holding his swords. i hadn't even noticed him come in but he looked better than before.

"We could beat you to pulp" the Girl sneered

"Do that and you wont have a future in this Kingdom, heck you wont have a future at all" I threatened stepping in line a bow and arrow in my hand and a quiver of arrows on my back. i was next to Tigress so i didn't have to be next to Damon, he looked like he wanted to protest but Foxie stopped him.

"how about a Duel?" The girl suggested "our best for your best" she said

"Great, show me what you got" Foxie said stepping closer

"oh, not you," the girl laughed "her" she said pointing a finger at me

"please i could beat her with my eyes closed" Foxie said

"but did she not just beat you?" the girl asked

"i did." i said looking at Foxie with an 'im sorry' and 'i have to do this' look. "i will fight you but if i win you will stop terrorizing this town and make no deals with Becca" i said as confident as i could muster, and by the looks on everyone of my friends face i had pulled that off better than i thought.

"Deal. but if we win we turn you over to the Queen ReBecca and or get to do what we want to you" the girl said "no weapons, hand to hand combat tomorrow, noon. be ready"she said and walked out of the room as if she owned the place and as far as i knew she would own this place and i would die at the hands of ReBecca. i had failed. i walked to the restroom and closed and locked the door as if i just needed to use it but i let silent tears fall. i had just doomed my friends. oh how

I cried silently making little gasping noises as I dried my eyes for the millionth time. I looked on the broken shard of a mirror that was n e bathroom and I noticed my hair a mess from fighting, my eyes red and puffy from crying, my hands smoked and my skirt where I wiped my tears was also wet.

"Eadiline you OK in there?" Tigress asked

"Stop being a wuss Eadiline. We need to train" Foxie yelled.

I walked out "you don't hate me Or want to kill me for getting you in this mess?" I asked in disbelief

" No, that duo is so annoying, they were bound to pick a fight sometime" Foxie

"But,I can't know how to fight. I can't beat her" I said tears welling up in my eye. Foxie walked over to me and slapped me across the cheek

"You do not talk like that. If you say 'I can't' then you might as well have never tried to escape and have ended up dead. You never say I can't. ever!" Foxie said. I rubbed my cheek "saying you can't means your instincts will dull and you eventually won't be able to do that. That's why boys insulting girls for not being able to fight is highly offensive and just cruel"

I started to understand but my cheek hurt. I though back to something Foxie had taught me. Fight back, so I slapped her across the cheek hard and looked her in the eye even though i wanted to run and cry, be the prissy princess everyone expected. "Fight me!" I demanded even though my body didn't want to cooperate.

'I can beat her,I can fight, i am strong, I won't let ReBecca win' these were all things I told myself and in a matter of seconds Foxie was on the floor

"New record" Tigress said excited. Foxie looked at me stunned

"You never cease to amaze me but you will have to fight faster and harder to beat Genna" Foxie said getting up

"Genna?" I asked. Who was Genna?

"Ya, her name is Genevieve but she calls herself Genna" Foxie Explained "just last month she came in with her crew and started terrorizing the town. I have been in 2 battles and have yet to beat her.

"ReBecca sent them, that's no doubt" I said. Then I was kicked in the stomach. I almost asked what that was for but I l my training kick in. 

I dodged a punch, then tripped Foxie as Tigress pinned me to the ground. I rolled till I was on her and kneed her in the face. I turned in a circle and hit Foxie behind the legs knocking her to the ground

"You done yet?" I asked

"Yes, you win" Tigress said groaning as she gets up.

"you would win this duel but don't expect Genna to give you an easy fight" Foxie warned

"you told me" I said looking outside "time fly's fast when your busy" i said. it was dark out already.

"lets get some sleep" Tigress said laying down. I layed down  on the wood floor also and fell asleep instantly, i had been working so hard and i needed rest for my battle tomorow.
