“That's what I was going to say” I said

“Really? Was that why you told Tigress to volunteer?” Foxie asked

“Yeah, was that's why she agreed, we were talking with the captain, after you told me to go with Tigress and she told us. Who told you?” Foxie asked

“Aribella, also I heard some of the crew talk about picking us off one by one” Foxie said, her ears twitched “someone's coming” she whispered, I laid on the bed and faced the wall as the door opened.

“Princess” Aribella whispered

“Aribella, is everything clear already?” I asked, it had gotten quiet.

“Yes, if were to act it's now” Aribella said

“Act?” Foxie asked

“Escape” I said getting out of bed.

‘Guys, meet up on the top deck, make sure you come alone’ I said

“I am going to just play along” Foxie said

‘I’m already there slowpokes’ Egan said

‘I know that’ Tigress said

‘Knock it off you two’ Dramon said

“Come on” I said and we walked down the hall and up the stairs to the main deck. Egan, Tigress, and Curt had already gotten there.

“Why are we needed here?” Curt asked as Dramon met up with us.

“Shh, as you may or may not know were in a trap” I said

“They know but why Aribella is here is a different story” a different voice said

“Captain!” Aribella said stunned “why are you here?” she asked

“I want to ask the same thing” the captain said

‘Why is the captain here?’ I asked

‘The captains on our team’ Foxie said

‘So is Aribella’ I said

“Aribella, captain you're both on our side right?” I asked

“Yes” both of them said without hesitation. They looked at each other

“You're both good spies, come on” I said without any arguments, we couldn't draw too much attention to us otherwise we were dead.

“So how do we get off the ship?” I asked “ and how are we going to make sure they don't tell or signal ReBecca before we can get away?” I asked

“We could blow us the ship?” Foxie said

“No, we know the people on board and they are good people, there just doing what ReBecca so they can see there family's again” Aribella said

“We can make them think were dead, then they tell ReBecca there truth and are saved” I said

“How will we fake our deaths?” Dramon asked

“Dyeing? Eww count me out” Egan said

“You don't have a choice Egan” Tigress said

“Why fake your death when you can just Die?” someone said.

I saw a flicker of something, I don't remember what I did but next thing I know I was in the ocean with an arrow in my hand, pain and blood ‘help’ was all I could mouth. I saw my friends, they were swimming to me. I closed my eyes

There was a hand and a lap, then I could breathe, I coughed up the water that was in my lungs and I breathed slowly.

“Mera” Foxie said after she finished coughing

“Hi Guys, Captain. You're safe here” Mera said.

I looked around then at the girl, she had white hair with blue on the ends, and a purple tail, her eyes were a soft purple

“Mera, this is Eadiline, and Aribella” Tigress said

“Princess, Aribella” Mera greeted “I'm Mera.” She said, I didn't realize till then but we were moving

“Where are we going?” I asked

“To shore, past the village but not near the castle, I have limits as to where in the ocean I can go but there is a lake that this connects to under the earth, I can get you there but that's as far as I can go” Mera said

“It's fine, I know where that is. It will work” Dramon said

“Happy birthday” Mera whispered in my ear, I looked at her. She just nodded and swam in front of the air bubble she made for us and pushed us into underwater caves and tunnels.

“Wow, I didn't know the ocean had tunnels everywhere under the kingdom” Aribella said

“We do, but we can't use them anymore” Mera said sadly “queens orders, because of her orders there is a magical field that prevents all mermaids, it starts at the lake, that is where I will have to leave you.” She explained.

“Don't worry Mera, I will make sure you will be able to use the tunnels again, ReBecca is rightfully Queen, I am and when I claim the throne you will be free to go where ever” I said

“Why does it have to be so wet down here” Egan asked

“Egan, its water, were underwater” Foxie said

“Just deal with it” Curt said, he didn't seem to happy about it either

“Thank you Mera, but how did you know we were here?” the Captain asked

“Someone said Help, I could hear it so I came. I found The Princess drowning with an arrow in her arm” Mera said “I pulled it out and wrapped it in seaweed, it should heal faster that way, anyway then you guys were down here as well and so I made an air bubble for you.” She explained

“Thank you” I said as we surfaced in the lake, Mera was at the very edge where as we were in the middle of the lake

“I can't go any farther than here, good luck” Mera said and disappeared under the water.

Egan was the first out followed by Curt and Dramon, then Tigress and Foxie the Captain, Aribella and me.

“So how close to the castle are we?” I asked.

“Were far off to the right of the castle, a week or so away” Dramon said.

“Alright but we should attempt to check on the village, we need to be sure they think we're dead.” Foxie said

“My mother will have a heart attack once word gets out that I’m dead” Aribella said

“My mom was probably disappointed I haven't died yet, she probably misses me” I joked

“Well your cousin seems to second that” The Captain said

“Come on, we can hide in the forest near the village and wait to see if  they sent any news to the village as the rest of us wait in the woods” Dramon said

“Alright” everyone agreed and we started off to the village. We were all soaking so we would make fire tonight, we decided to find a very shaded area so the smoke wouldn't make it past the treetops but also trees that we could hide in if we needed to.

As we worked I thought about what Mera whispered to me. It was my birthday, already? That meant I had been away from my kingdom for two years. I am fourteen, tomorrow was when my family died, and today was when I died, well when I supposedly died…again.
