The Last Heiress

Chapter 17

We didn't realize how much ReBecca had been working when we were working with the other towns but she managed to turn a town against us. we were two towns away from the castle but apparently Foxie wasn't liked very much.

"People, please listen. Foxie wants to help. She Stopped Genna" I Yelled trying to convince them

"you stopped ReBecca" Foxie whispered to me

"they don't need to know that" i whispered back

"Genna was trying to protect us from you!" someone yelled

"No, she was sent to make sure you were loyal to her, protection was least thing on her mind!" i yelled, we were being back into a corner

after everything i said a few would leave or try to convince them but it's like there was someone in there who was the source of the lies, we had to find that person

"help me look for the one who is convincing everyone that ReBecca is right. it's almost like magic" i whispered to her

"we feel  it, it is strong" Tigress said

"ya, but getting it will be hard, it's a strong magic user" Damon said

"Egan, can you fly over and try to spot who it is?" i asked

"yes" Egan said setting off into the sky

"you are an enemy of our Queen, you must die!" the villagers said

"no, Becca has corrupted you, don't you realize?" I asked

"keep it going, I am closing in on them" Egan said

"she is using you. She doesn't care for you and once you give her full control she will ruin your lives. She wants power and war. I want freedom, happiness, and peace" I said

"found her" Egan said grabbing a girl and lifting her above everyone so I could see her

"Insert medieval name here how could you join with Becca!" I asked "i thought she was your enemy?"

"you Killed Genna" Name said

"no she realized her mistake, apparently you didn't" I said

"you should have died when you had the chance. You have caused much pain and sorrow for many people. ReBecca was fine without you ruining everything" name said and for a moment I felt a cool Breese wash over me, I froze at that point and for a second I wished I was dead. Then I snapped to reality.

"you are being controlled, I can tell you don't want to be saying this, what magician brainwashed you?" I asked. She didn't listen

"You are a disgrace to the royal family" she said

"can I throw her?" Egan asked

"No she is brainwashed, she can't hear us anymore, she is focused on me because I am the only one her magic can effect, she wants me, or her master does" I said. Foxie and Curt had escorted the villagers out of the square.

"maybe if you trick her and make her think you are brainwashed you can find her "master" and stop them" Damon whispered to me "pretend to listen to her and do what the other did. Convince me but don't actually listen"

I heard name say something about me working for the wrong side, that ReBecca was the right heir to the throne and I was a disgrace.

I didn't pay much attention to the words but i turned to her pretending to be under her spell. "i'm a disgrace" i half whispered. Foxie,Curt and Tigress fell for it. They ran to me

"Eadiline no" they said, Dramon followed along. i stayed blank following and repeating what she said. Either Dramon had had one of their telepathy talks or everyone caught on to what i was doing and let it happen. 

"Follow me if you want to correct your mistakes." Chella said.

I started to walk forward but they help me back. Damon whispered in my ear attack us. I grabbed them and beat them all, once they were on the ground they stayed down allowing me to follow Chella.

"I will take you to my master and then all will be well" she whispered. The noise was sickening. it was haunting and i had to do all i could to not listen and to not let my mind wander and get sidetracked

I came to a cave and by then i realized my friends were following me out of sight.

"walk in here and give yourself up to my master in order to cleanse yourself" she said

I walked in keeping my senses sharp and listening and feeling like i had been taught.

"you found her. splendid" A female voice said. it sounded familiar but foreign

I kept walking.

"Stop walking child" the voice said, then a shadow came forward, as it came into view it looked familiar.

"Flixa!" I asked startled 

 "That was my old name. I am Flyna" The Girl said

"you're, Alive!" I said with joy

"why would you care, you left me" Flixa said "if it weren't for ReBecca i wouldn't be alive"

"Flixa?" Tigress asked. Either she just found me or just realized who she was. Foxie, Curt, Egan and Dramon all followed

"you" Flixa said, anger in her voice.

"Flixa, what's wrong?" Tigress asked walking up next to me.

"why should you care?" Flixa asked, She was angry

"Because you're our friend" I said. I was concerned for Flixa, but i must admit she looked breathtaking, it was almost not her.

"We care for you Flixa!" Foxie said

"I'm Flyna and no you don't care. you left me. you let me die, None of you care for me!" Flixa Snapped

"You couldn't be saved! Our magic doesn't work on one another! We didn't know you'd come back! We didn't have a choice we are bound to protect Eadiline, you aren't anymore but we are and we have to put her before ourselves or each other!" Foxie yelled angrly

Flixa froze. She didn't know what to feel, she didn't like being yelled at. I could tell she was soft. Tears appeared in her eyes and she burst out into tears.

"Why are you always so mean!" Flixa asked through her tears

Tigress took the opportunity and rushed to hug Flixa

"we would never have left you if we knew you would regenerate" Tigress promised, then she wispered something in Flixa's ear and she giggled. I figured it was about Foxie and apparently she got the same impression

"Hey! are you laughing at me!" Foxie asked a little to loud

"no" Flixa said but even i could tell she was lying

"What happened?" Chella asked getting up

"Chella!" I said turning to see her

"oh." Flixa said. She stopped laughing.

"do you remember anything?" I asked figuring that she was in a trance.

"i remember...You!" Chella said pointing to Flixa

"Chella, i am so sorry, i didn't mean to" Flixa said

"You both Failed me!" ReBecca's voice said. I looked around. there was no way ReBecca was fine unless...

I looked at Flixa "you didn't heal her did you?" i asked

ReBecca walked out. Her arm was bandaged, she had two guards with her, or I thought they were guards.

"you failed me" She said again looking at Flixa. "You also do an awful Flixa impression" she said "not even i'm that mean to let you keep going like this, it's awful"

one of the "guards" pointed at Flixa and she changed to Iliriana the other girl who was with Genna.

"what did you do?" i asked startled.
