Chapter 21

We switched off going into the village each day but after a week no word, the ship hadn't come back, after a month, two, four.

Finally six months later it had come back.

“It must have continued a normal voyage, maybe to neighboring kingdoms.” Aribella, Tigress and the Captain concluded.

We wasted a lot of time, but we had to be sure they would tell everyone we were dead.

“Well for six months we had stayed quiet, we need them to think we're dead. That gives us the element of surprise. Something we take for granted to often. If we continue to lay low for a month ReBecca will finally believe you're dead and she will let her guard down. Maybe this time we can use our element of surprise to our advantage.”Dramon said

“Or she will do something stupid” Foxie said

“Let's just lay low for a while as we travel. Let's take the forest, taking the path is too common.we would be caught” I said

“Let's camp for today then tomorrow we move” The Captain said

“Yeah” Tigress agreed.

I laid down, they think I'm dead. That's always a good thing. Well they won't stress or possibly give up anything to ReBecca now that they see no reason for my plan. I hoped they wouldn't do something stupid.

As I was thinking I drifted off to sleep, the first time I felt at peace in months.

‘Eadiline is such a wimp, she can't do anything right, maybe she doesn't deserve the throne’ I heard. I jolted awake

‘What?’ I asked. Everyone was awake and arguing except Aribella and the Captain. They had town duty for the day.

‘Your stupid, if it weren't for us you ungrateful brat you would be dead and you should be!’ Foxie spat out

‘What! What got into you, what did I do?’ I asked

‘Everything, we were just fine before you came along. We should have left you in ReBecca's hands’ Dramon said

‘Dramon!’ I asked

‘No one likes you, we all know it. Not even Flixa would come to your rescue. And you are the cause of her death’ Curt said

‘You're right, but it was you who wanted to follow me, so if you don't want to protect me anymore then fine, I will just leave!’ I said. They were all arguing among each other and wouldn't care. I walked away breaking the link we had. Then I punched a tree

“What?” I exclaimed aloud. My hand didn't hit it, it went right through it “what..is going on?” I asked

‘Eadiline? Eadiline, oh come on sis!’ Gracie asked

‘Gracie!’ I asked

‘It made it, You need to get back! It's ReBecca messing with you guys, turning you away from each other. She convinced them to put a spell on you so you can't fight. You need them, hurry!’ Ashley said

I turn and ran! I knew my sisters hen I feel it and I should have known my friends better. They would never have said that about me.

“You guys!” I Yelled running into where we had camped. No one was around

‘Girls?’ I asked

‘Watch Out!’ Lucy said, I turned to attack only realizing halfway through that I couldn't fight. The man grabbed my arm.

‘Eadiline use your not being able to fight to your advantage. Try to hurt him with the arm he grabbed and it will go right through him’ Gracie said. I tried to test his hand and she was right, I ran with my arm now free. I ran towards the village but I wasn't quick enough. They caught me and this time they knocked me out.

I jolted awake.

“Eadiline!! Thank goodness!” Aribella said

“If it weren't for your yelling we wouldn't have found you in time!” The Captain

“We need to continue on” I said

‘Eadiline, they need to reverse the spell, the hybri's. You need to find them’ Ashley asid

“After we find the others” I said

“We don't need them” Aribella said

“ They need us, and I need them” I said

‘Gracie, is there a way I can reconnect with the hybri's?’ I asked

‘ We can set up the connection but only for a second, it will override ReBecca's but it's risky’  Gracie replied

‘I will take that chance. Tell me when’ I said. I closed my eyes imagining my friends

‘Now!’ Gracie said

‘Guys don't listen to ReBecca! Find me, hurry!’ I said before I blacked out for a second.

“Eadiline!” I heard as I woke up. I opened my eyes

“Guys! You heard!” I said stretching. Laying against a tree isn't very comfy.

“If it weren't for you we would have all…well I'm glad you did that but you've been asleep for three days, you were slowly dying, what did you do?” Dramon asked

I thought “oh… I may have used a lot of energy to help break ReBecca’s spell so I could tell you” I said leaving the fact out that my sisters did it and I just had to deal with the energy loss.

‘ I told you it came with a price’ Gracie said

‘ I can live with it, I’m not dead yet so. That's always good’  I said “wait for three days. What day is it?” I asked

“Um  the twenty first of the fifth month” Tigress said

“It hasn't been three days, it's been three months!” I said

“Don't worry, we have been moving. Slowly through the forest but ReBecca knows were alive” Foxie said

“I knew she knew we were alive when she was messing with you minds. How close to the castle are we?” I asked

“About twenty, twenty five miles but every ten miles there is an army camp” Dramon said

"I need you to undo the spell that prevents me from attacking" I said standing up.

"Right, we put that on you' Foxie said

'It was under Rebecca's influence. It was part of her plan" i said

"whats going on?" Aribella asked

“ReBecca trying to drive us Crazy” Foxie said

“Hey where's Egan?” I asked. Apparently no one had missed him much.

“Probably off sulking, not worth going after him” Tigress said

“In three months no one has even tried to look for him?” I asked in disbelief

“It's not that we haven't tried, he hasn't answered or anything like that. We can't find him, he is just gone” Curt said

‘Gracie?’ I asked.

‘Eadiline, your awake! Anyway on the matter I can't reveal where he is. You will find him soon”

“We need to keep moving, if you release the curse I can help fight” I said

“That's just it, we need Egan to break it” Curt said

“Well then let's search for him, can you guys try to contact him?” I asked

“Yup” the others assured me
