The Last Heiress

Chapter 9

I kicked at Genna, she grabbed my leg and i fell to the ground holding my self up with my hands and kicking the back of Genna's legs making her fall back. Genna caught her fall with her hand. I jumped up and Genna followed. she punched and i almost caught it with my hand but it hit my pointer finger

"Ow" i yelped grabbing my finger

"oh. im not sorry" Genna said i kicked her, hitting her right in the stomach. Genna fell back landing on her butt. i kicked her and tried to punch where she was. Genna punched me in the mouth and i felt my lip split 

Damon started forward but Foxie held him back.

Genna punched again and i caught her arm, i elbowed her in the stomach turned still holding her hand she back kicked hitting her in the stomach again, then i flipped behind her back and pulled her hand behind her back. I then kneed her in the side and let go of her hand.

Genna fell to the ground in pain. I turned to look at Foxie and she flashed a smile which quickly turned to fear "Eadiline!" she Yelled. i turned to be stabbed in the arm with a knife. I looked at Genna, she had a twisted smile with pain and Victory. I grabbed the knife and  pulled it out with a groan. I threw it at the door which was across the room from us with my good arm

"No one is going to die" I said holding my arm where the knife hit it. she had hit an artery and it was gushing blood. my hand was covered in seconds and my head was spinning but i took deep breaths focusing on Genna.

"you don't get it do you?" Genna asked 

"Get what?" I asked

"if i don't bring you to Queen ReBecca dead or Alive then i get killed so its you or me" Genna said

"no, come with us. we can protect you and you could help us" I offered

"What!" Foxie asked in disgust.

"no" Genna said "i cant"

"Yes you can. Don't let ReBecca threaten you"  I said 

" you dont get it, if i disobey then she will kill my family. if i come with you my parents and siblings will die" Genna said her eyes tearing up. i walked over to her and wiped her tears away

"I wont put your parents in danger but i wont let you take me to ReBecca. I'm sorry" I said

"Its ok, you didn't chose the wrong side." Genna said getting up and walking to the door. I thought she was going to leave but she didn't call her friends over, i didn't realize what she was doing till she leaned over and the glint of the knife i had thrown over there caught my eye

"No! Genna don't" I said and started to run over but i fell to the ground week. it took Genna's friends until she held the knife to her chest before they realized and ran to her "Genna, there is another way" i said trying to get up. My friends rushed to me and forced me down.

"Eadiline stay still" Tigress said trying to tie my arm in a bandage. i fought and right before Genna's friends made it to her Genna stabbed herself falling to the ground pale and dead. I stopped fighting, it was done. ReBecca had more blood on her hands than Hands could hold. how could she live with herself? I fought until i blacked out.

I woke up on the floor with a pillow at my head and a blanket over my body. i was cold, it was dark when i opened my eyes and i realized i had slept through the day. i tried to sit up but was really week. I just lay on the floor staring at the ceiling. i tried once more to sit up and i made it but my head pounded, i felt dizzy, i closed my eyes using my hands to prop myself up, my head hurt less, i got to my feet and stumbled to the wall my feet making small patter sounds that echoed softly in the quiet room. i was still in the fighting chambers and i guessed everyone was in there rooms. Wait there was no rooms. my head started spinning as i reached the doorway leading to the hall, and i dropped to my knees. the door was opened and down the hall from there i could

"Eadiline?" Foxie asked quietly coming up behind me. i closed my eyes for what seemed like a second but when i opened them Foxie was sitting next to me across the hall from where i closed my eyes

"what happened?" I asked looking around feeling better

"you fainted for a little, i just set you over here" Foxie said with a softness in her voice. i heard no sharpness or demand in her voice instead i heard pain, and kindness a side i have never seen on Foxie.

"no, what happened after i fainted" I asked afraid the answer. Foxies face paled "what happened?" i asked more demanding but scared

"you died" Foxie said a tear falling. i looked in horror

"I....I died?" I asked. "is Damon ok?" I dreaded the answer

"he took it. awful." Foxie replied

"he was my protector, i should have known but. how am i alive?" I asked also dreading the answer.

"Tigress is surprisingly good at making things. she can make soup and healing potions and she knew how to save you. you were dead for a whole minute." Foxie said with a half-hearted smile then a pained look.

"what about Genna? did you save her?" I asked hopeful but knew all to well they couldn't heal a dead heart

"no." Foxie said "she would not wish it, and if ReBecca killed her family she would rather be with them then here alone" she said

"what about her friends?" i asked

"they took Genna's body to ReBecca. they will see to the killing of Genna's family" Foxie said

"ReBecca would have killed them after they sent Genna. since Genna got the message they were of no use to her" I said "Genna will be happier up where ever she is now then down here in this cruel world"

"come on lets get some rest. we will leave tomorrow" Foxie said

"your coming with us?" i asked with hopes

"yes" Foxie said getting up. she helped me up and we went back to the room i woke in. i layed back on the floor next to Foxie and looked at the ceiling wondering how hard it must have been for me to be dead. I really should be dead but Death either didn't like me or the lord had let me live to kill ReBecca or at least revenge my family. in all my thoughts i fell asleep.

I woke up to Tigress fretting and talking to Foxie in the other room. my eyes were shut and i had forgotten about last night and pretended i was asleep.

"what if she never wakes, then she dies from no water and food" Tigress said "is she in a coma, has she gone in shock?" I realized what she was fretting about. I was supposed to be dead.

"i think your the one in shock" I said walking to the door way of the Kitchen. rubbing my eye, i was hit with something and fell to the floor. it took me a minute to realize it was Tigress. i hugged her back

"you were sleeping for so long, i was afraid you had given up on us" Tigress whispered. i froze

"how long?" i asked pushing Tigress off. "how long was i asleep?" i looked at Foxie then Tigress

"three days" a voice said behind me making me jump. the voice was cold and deep and sad.

I turned to see Damon, he didn't look at me.

"Damon, I'm sorry" i said feeling like it was all my fault. i expected him to say 'no it was my fault' or 'it is no ones fault' nothing expected me for what came next

"Your right its your fault. I was worried sick, you had died, You gave up on me. You left me!" Damon said shouting at me. I stumbled back as if his words were a sonic wave and they were pushing me. I started in disbelief before turning and running for i knew not what to do.
