Kate's POV

I feel the wet grass under my feet. We walk onto the field and we see the Broken Moon pack on the other side. Jake's jaw clenches as he sees Kevin. I put my hand up so the pack stops walking. Kevin does the same and Kevin,Tristan, Jake and I step a little forward so we are facing each other from 5 feet away. "What is this a nice day for a fight isn't it?" Kevin says. "Kevin, this is the last change for you to turn around and leave our pack alone." I say. Kevin grins. "You really thought that I was going to give up? I thought you knew me Katherine." I cross my arms over my chest. "Yes that's what I also thought but I was wrong, the Kevin I know is kind, gentle and a friend. The Kevin I am standing in front of is a lying, pathetic and mentally disordered." I say. Kevin raises an eyebrow and he looks at Jake. "I hope you had enough fun with your mate because today you are going to lose her." Kevin says and Jake doesn't reply. Jake and I turn around and walk back to the pack. We turn around again so we are facing the Broken Moon again. Kevin and Tristan are also in their original spot. I look at the rising sun. "Let the Moon Goddess be with us." I say quiet and I close my eyes. After three seconds I open them. Kevin whistles which means that the fight begins. We all shift and we start running towards each other. The fight is officially started.

I look around and see wolves howl from the pain and some are already dead. I see Tristan in the corner of my eyes charging at Jake who has his back facing Tristan. I react immediately and I charge at Tristan. I jump and hear something snap. I land on my paws and I turn around. I see Tristan's neck open and he is dead. Jake walks towards me and he presses his head against mine. We run in a opposite direction and we start killing the Broken Moon. Every time I attack someone I get at least 3 cuts more. The pain is stinging and I feel myself getting more tired by the second.

The fight is intense, everywhere there is blood and dead wolves. I see a familiar wolf in the corner of my eye. Kevin. I kill on the way two rogues. He turns around. "Hello Katherine." I growl at him. "I hope that you are a better fighter then your father." I lay my ears in my neck. No he couldn't. "Y-you are the one who killed my father?" i ask him. "Yes, yes I did. His last words were before he passed out: Stay away from my daughter. So sad." I feel a tear running down my face. "You were my best friend in the whole world, why did you ruin that?" Kevin growls at me. "Because you love the wrong guy!" I growl low. "No I thought that I loved the right guy but your proved me wrong." I see something break in his eyes. "You loved me?" he asks. "Yes, I loved you. Now I only feel pure hate for you." Kevin growls and we start fighting. He bites in my front left paw and I bite his ear. Every inch of my body hurts. I see Kevin shifting back and he runs behind a shrub. I shift back also, I look behind me and see Jake fighting next to Justin. I turn around and I hear something. I see Kevin with a gun in his hand. "Kevin don't do this, you know you don't want to." Kevin points at the battlefield. Our pack is winning. "What choice do I have Kat? Look around, I am going to die today but I'm going to take you with me." I see Jake's wolf staring at us. "Kevin I want you to know one thing." Kevin looks surprised. "I love Jake." I see the hate in his eyes. His fingers move to the trigger and I hear a loud noise. I try to avoid it but I feel a pain in my chest. I fall on the ground and I see Kevin getting attacked by Jake. I see his neck getting snapped and the life flows out of him.

Jake shifts into his human form. He runs to me and hold his hands on my chest to stop the bleeding. "Jake." I say soft. "No, I'm not going to let it happen. I promised your dad that I am going to protect you with my life." I move my shaking hand up to his cheek. "Jake. You protected me more then you could. I am ready, this is what the Moon Goddess wants." I see Jake crying. "No! Kill somebody else but not my dear mate!" He yells. I pull his head closer to me and I kiss him. "I love you my dearest, from the moon and back." He rips a piece of his shirt and he tries to stop the bleeding with it. Jake looks at me in the eyes. "I'm not going to let you die here, we are going to marry. We are going to have children, we are going to grow old together." I feel the pain flowing away and I try not to close my eyes. "Jake, live the life for me. We will be together at some point. But let the Moon Goddess choose our fate and don't do anything stupid. Live our life." Jake kisses me. "I love you, you are my everything." I start to have breathing problems. "And you are my everything, Jake. I love you too." I feel my final breath and I close my eyes. "I love you." I mutter and I feel a tear flowing down my cheek. I let out my last breath and welcome the darkness. I hear one last thing. "I will live our lives." I smile and the darkness takes over me.
