~Nikki's POV~
Today Brie and I decided to go out on a walk. We didn't have much to so why not? We walked out on to the steps.
"How far are we walking?" Brie asks me.
"I'm not sure, lets just go with the flow." I say, and she just shrugs in agreement.
We just walk around town and then I noticed a McDonald's about two blocks down.
"Brie, lets go to McDonald's." I say pulling her along. Once we get in, I order a chocolate chip frappe and Brie gets an Oreo McFlurry. We pay for our food and walk out.
We decided just to go back home and watch Netflix for the rest of the day. As I was walking down our street, I spot Max kicking a soccer ball around on his front yard.
He looks up and says, "Hey."
"Hey." I say, walking towards him a little bit.
We just stand there for like 15 seconds, although it feels like forever. I took off my flip flops I had on and surprised Max by taking away the soccer ball under his right foot.
I just started kicking it around with Brie, while Max was trying to get it back. It was like monkey in the middle and it was fun.
"I didn't know you could play soccer." He says giving up and sitting down on the sidewalk. I leave the ball with Brie who was kicking it around, and sat down next to him.
"Yea, I've been playing since I was little."
We just sat there in silence, not in an awkward silence, and looked out at the few cars passing by.
"So listen," he starts off, "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me or something sometime." He says, obviously nervously. Butterflies start filling my stomach as he says that.
"Are you serious?" I ask, staring him in the eye.
"Yeah..." he says uneasy.
"I would like that." I say smiling at him.
"Cool, so I'll text you." He says getting up, then helping me up. I reply with a simple nod.
Brie drops the soccer ball and we continue walking down the street to go home. As we start walking back, I turn back and look at him,only to see him looking right back at me. Both of us blush, and look away.
"Looks like my sis has a date." Brie says nudging me. I blush and walk up the steps to the house. Brie goes to the kitchen to make popcorn while I set up Netflix. Connor and Ricky ended up joining us on our Netflix marathon. This has been a good day, I think to myself
