Tyler's Point-of-viewA few days later, I was back home. I was pretty sad about leaving Josh's house, it's really fun there. And having a sleepover kinda with your best friend every day is awesome.
It's getting pretty late, around 11:30 ish, but I can't sleep. There's workers outside fixing the street lights. Noisily fixing the street lights. It's probably keeping up my family too, but I'm not gonna go check. I'm gonna check if they are getting any fucking progress out there.
I slowly stepped outside my room in my shoes, a jacket and shorts. I made my way down the hall before I heard a creak in the floor from someone else.
"Shit," I mutter to myself. I realize how close I am to the front door, my bikes right outside.. Would it be worth it to bike out of here and avoid confrontation with.. Whoever it is..?
No. It won't.
So why am I doing this?
I quickly opened the door and ran outside, pulling it closed and locking it behind me. Jumping on the bicycle, I glance over to the broken street lights. Three lights are lit, but the fourth one's out. It's not as broken as I thought it was. Less of a drought of lightbulbs.
I pedal quickly down the sidewalk, turning onto the route that's heading south. Atleast I'm pretty sure it is. I'm no good with directions.
When I get home, I need to prepare for a murder. Why did I leave the house? My parents are gonna kill me. They won't believe me, basically running away, then swearing that it will never happen again. Agh.
I turn on to Josh's street to see if I can sleep over the night. I can't get a hotel room. No money. And pretty much no one else I know will be awake at this time.
Making a left, I realize I have no fucking idea where I am. I thought I was on the right street. Apparently not. I start to tear up, terrified. Shakily, I pull out my phone and call "josh 🌟" in my contacts.
Riiiiing..
Riiiiing..
The fear inside of me mixed with the annoying crickets and ringing sound starts to give me a headache. But then the phone is answered.
Josh's Point-of-view
I pick up the phone immediately once I hear it ring with "TYLER JOSEPH😺" on my phone screen. It's 12:00. Something's wrong.
"Hey Ty-Are you crying?" I ask, startled and worried by the sobbing.
"Y-yes. I'm lo-lost. I wanna come over." Spoke a shaken up boy from the other side of the conversation. I hate hearing him sad. He's a good person. He doesn't deserve sadness.
"Where are you?" I ask as I throw on a coat and slip on some sandals.
"I don't knoooww. It's dark out, there are trees. The park m-maybe?" He suggested, flustered.
"Okay. Calm down, Tyler." I walk into the living room where my mom is, holding her keys in my hand. I point to them and then my phone, mouthing 'I need to help Tyler.' to her.
She was a bit uncertain for a few seconds, but then sighed and nodded. I half-ran to the car and started driving to the park, windows down, radio off. Listening for whines.
I pull into the park's parking lot and stepped outside.
"Jooooshh? Is that youu?" I hear a voice call.
"Yeah! I'm over here!" I yell towards a dark figure in the distance, which is probably Tyler. I was right.
He runs up to me, still crying. "T-thank youu."
"No problem. Get in," I say with a slight smile.
We get back to the house, and I suddenly remember something pretty damn important.
"Yo, you have to sleep in the living room tonight. Guest room is being painted," I tell Tyler as we walk in.
"Aw. The living room is cold," he says unenthusiastically.
"Sorry man. But there's no other rooms. Unless you'll sleep with me." I say jokingly with a wink to make him laugh.
We hung out in my room for a while before I was finally tired out. It was like 1:20 something. Jeez.
I expected Ty to get up and go to the living room, but he didn't. Wha-oh. He's gonna sleep on the freaking floor.
"Are you sure you wanna sleep on the floor in here? You might wake up with carpet face." I say, yawn-laughing.
Tyler turned a bit pink. "I wasn't gon- I mean-- I thought you m-meant in your bed." He said, flustered. Adorable.
