" Now he know my mom gon' be mad as hell for him to just up and leave like that " The guy says to me. I nod my head agreeing

" You don't talk much do you? " he asked me. I shake my head no, even though I talk me head off all the time

" Well I'm Austin, Chris's cousin " he says. I just stay quiet

" Okay now you need to at least say something. You making it look like I'm taking to myself " he says giving me a straight face.

" I'm Ari. Nice to meet you Austin " I laugh

" Austin have you seen m- " Chris's aunt comes out of nowhere

" Let me guess, Chris left? " she says very calmly

" Ma you already know he did " Austin says

" I knew I should've just told him no when he was here. Let me know when he gets back, but right now I'm heading out.... And I'm Christine by the way " she says holding out her hand

" Okay well, Austin text me if you need anything, you too behave yourselves " she says then walks out the door

" Man I don't know why she still treats me like a little kid" he says heading in one direction so I follow

" Aren't you like 16 or something? " I ask as we walk inside the kitchen.

" No, 18. Do I look that young? " he asks while searching through the cabinets

" Really!!? You don't look like it " he says pulling out a bag of chips

" But aren't you and Chris together? " he asked. I didn't really know how to answer that. Chris is confusing as hell and there's no telling what we are.

" Um..." I start off trying to think of something to say

" Nah it's cool I was just asking, but you wanna play 2k or something? " he asks me while walking out the kitchen

" What's 2k? " I ask. I honestly didn't know what that was. He turned around and gave me a straight face

" I'll let you slide this one time cause I really wouldn't expect a girl to know about this game either "
