Chapter 25

CHRIS

"Chris, Red, Jamal,and Keeis come down for breakfast!" My mom calls for us. We all were somewhat laying across my bed. Not on some gay shit, just reliving the days when we were younger. In Our hometown.

I lift myself up and look around to see Jamal was already putting on his shoes

"Dang nigga the food not going nowhere" I laugh

"I'm just tryna get down there before y'all do. Y'all fat asses gon' eat everything" he says then rushes downstairs. I shake my head

"Wake up!" I shout smacking Red in the face super hard

"What the fuck!" He tackles me then starts punching me but I block his hits

"Chill, Chill" I said through laughs

"I'm not fucking laughing that shit hurt" He gets up holding his face then trips over Keeis who was knocked out on the floor.

"Yo whoever the last one downstairs a rotten egg" I said rushing my way to the stairs. Keeis made sure he got up as soon as I said that, because he's always the last one. We always clown around like this.

"Man I'm not included. Fuck that my face hurts" he says taking his precious time down the stairs. I make it down before Keeis, but it didn't matter cause we weren't last. Red was.

"Stop all that damn running in my house and act like some grown men" my mom says mixing something in the pot

"Yes ma'am" Keeis and I said at the same time taking a seat at the table. I look over at Jamal who plate was already finished.

"Where is Red?" She asks handing us our plate

"Right here ma" he says still holding the side of his face

"Boy what's the matter with you, come sit down" she says moving his hand from his face. She gasps

"Oh my, what happened?"

"Chris stupid ass" he says flipping me off. Luckily my mom didn't see.I smack my teeth

"Ma he lying" I said trying to stay in character

"First off Red watch your mouth when you're talking to me and Chris I could tell when you're lying. You squint your eyes and then start smiling" she says causing everyone to face me and I was doing exactly what she mentioned.

"Ari get up you have less than an hour to get ready. We have to be at the courthouse at one" My mom says waking we out of my sleep. I decided to stay the night over my moms house in Nia's room. I had to park Chris's car around the corner, so my dad wouldn't know I was here. He goes to work early in the morning so we had nothing to worry about

"Here is some of my clothes. Hurry up and get ready we don't have much time" She says then walks out. I look over at Nia who was sleeping peacefully in her bed. I smile then get up to get ready for the day. Hopefully today is not so bad as I imagine it would.

After I finished getting ready I went downstairs to see Nia and my mom sitting at the table eating. My mom looked up at me and pointed to the microwave. I'm guessing that was were my plate was

"I'm good Mom thanks. You ready to leave?"

"Yeah, uh Nia your okay with staying here by yourself for a few hours?"

"Yes mom I'm not a baby" she says rolling her eyes afterwards

"Okay well don't do anything crazy. Ari and I will be back later" she says as I walk towards the door with my mom behind me. She locks the door then we make our way to Chris's car. As we get in I start the car up and we were on our way
