Sea Palace

Both Niall and Leandra hold one of my hands, pulling me forward. I am in awe as I stare at the giant sea palace. It is an edifice of a building, shiny and silver, but also reflective and rainbowy.

"Is that mother of pearl?" I ask incredulously.

Niall glances at me. "Yes."

"It's beautiful."

"I never saw it that way," he replies. "It's more like a shiny sea prison."

"Enough admiring the sea castle!" Leandra snaps. "We need a plan to save father!"

"First we need clothes to fit in," Niall says.

"We don't have time for this kelp!" Leandra says. "Malacky is going to let father die!"

"We can't very well go without dressing up. This is a formal event! And Harry's a bloody human! That's not going to swim well with them!"

She huffs a sigh. "Very well. But hurry up! I'm going to go ahead. I'll meet you in the dining hall."

Niall and I swim up to one of the windows and enter it.

"This is my room," Niall explains, letting go of my hand.

"I think your room is bigger than my entire shop!"

Niall continues to the hugeantic  sea wardrobe. Why does he need that many clothes when no one seems to wear anything down here?

Niall throws the door open.

"Which would you like? The navy or the sky?" he asks, taking out two bejeweled gladiator capes.

He would look smashing in the sky. It would bring out his eyes and accent his masculine features.

"I'll take the navy." He also pulls out a long skirt that matches.

"Wear this to hide your legs."

"But its a skirt, Niall. I can't wear a skirt!"

"You can if you don't want to draw attention! Suck it up, Harry! This is a sea emergency!"

He swings the light cloak around his shoulders and fastens it around his neck.

"Come on," I prompt, swimming forward.

"Wait," Niall interrupts. I stop and look at him. He won't meet my eyes. "In case of the worst, I just want you to know..." he looks at me. "I care about you, Harry." His eyes dart away again. He's blushing. "A lot. More than my father would care to know."

I am taken aback. I am filled with a glowing fuzzy warmth that makes my heart feel like its expanding. He feels the same. If I didn't have this starfish on my face, my smile would be brighter than a thousand suns.

"When I'm around you.." he continues. "I feel scared and excited at the same time.  It makes my heart feel like it's about to stop. You give me a heart attack, Harry."

"That gives me an idea for a song," I smile. He smiles again, blushing.
