Josh's POV

I sat there, holding Max close to my chest while she cried. Why is Pete being such an ass? She's allowed to like a boy, isn't she? Even if it's not me, I thought.

Patrick soon returned from the door. He looked at me and Max. "That's it. Pete is getting it." Patrick said and stormed out of the room.

"Max? What's his name?" I asked. I wanted to know who this guy is. If she's not with me, I need to know this guy will treat her right. "You'd think I was gross is I told you." Max mumbled. "No I won't, I promise." I whispered.  "His name is Josh Dun."

Patrick's POV

The fact that Pete has caused Max to cry is pissing me off. He knows how sensitive she is.

I walked down the hall to Pete's room and banged my fist on the door. Brendon opened the door. I pushed past him

"Pete! Tell me why you're being such an ass to your sister! She can like a boy all she wants. You can just yell at her and expect her to be ok!" I yelled at him. "I hope you know the boy she likes is Josh!" Pete yelled back. "So what! Josh is grown man and would never make a move on your little sister! Have a little bit of faith in him!" I said. "And let me guess, you left her alone with him!" Pete kept yelling. "Don't turn this around on me! She's not alone with him, Tyler is in there." I said calmly.

Pete just looked at me. "Wow..." Brendon said. "She'll stay with us tonight. If she wants, she'll talk to you tomorrow." I said and left the room.

When I walked into the hallway, Joe was looking out of his room. "What the fuck happened?" he said. "Pete's an ass." I said and walked into my room.

What I saw was something that I did not expect.

Josh's POV

"Y-You like me?" I asked, surprised. She nodded slowly. I looked into her eyes and we slowly leaned in until my lips were on her's. Max's hands wrapped around my neck. I heard a door open. "What the fuck?" Patrick said.

I looked up and was met by a furious Patrick. "Patrick! Don't tell Pete!" Max said. "Why the fuck wouldn't I?" Patrick was beyond pissed. "Please..." she whispered.

Patrick's eyes met mine. "Josh is gonna tell him." Patrick said. "Patrick could we no-" I was cut off by Patrick gripping my collar. Patrick dragged me out of the room and to Pete's. "Open the door, Urie!" he yelled. "Patrick plea-" I begged, but was cut off by the door being opened.

When I saw Pete on the bed, I started thinking about what death felt like. "Pete, you were right. He was making out with Max." Patrick said. If looks could kill, I would be the victim of 3rd degree murder.

It was as if the gods answered my prayers because Max burst through the door. "Pete, don't lay a finger on him!" she yelled. "Why the fuck not? Who the hell do you guys think you are? Making out!" Pete was pissed and it was terrifying.

Max looked Pete dead in the eyes, burning anger in both of their eyes. "You're going home. " Pete said. "No. I'm staying, for Josh. If he wants me to be here." Max looked at me. I pulled my arms through my shirt and was left shirtless.

I walked over to hide behind Max. "We'll see how dad feels about that." Pete said cockily. "I don't care! If I wanna be with Josh, then I can! You don't control me Pete!" Max yelled. "If you're staying here, then I do control you!" Pete yelled back.

"Next fucker who yells is getting hit in the face!" Joe stormed into the room. "Josh was making out with my sister!" Pete yelled at him. I looked up and prayed that Joe Trohman wasn't going to be the death of me. "Who the fuck cares! Pete, you can't control who she makes out with! It's midnight. People want to sleep!" Joe sounded exasperated.

"Max, let's go." Joe said. "Huh?" Max asked, confused. "Pete's not gonna let you stay with Josh and I doubt you wanna stay with Pete right now. You and me can share a bed." Joe said. Max nodded. "Bye Josh." she gave me a hug and left.

That's when I realized I was alone in a room with Pete and Patrick. I was dead and the heavens couldn't save me this time.
